*At Meeting Lodge*

Scout Leader Roy: We as a troop are gonna participate in a charity for a local animal shelter in Los Angelas. The goal is the more miles we go the more money we raise. It's $1,000 each mile we cycle. So each time we cross a check point more money is added. Now I don't want you guys to feel pressured by that. If you get tired and want to stop that's PERFECTLY ok. So I want you guys to have fun and stay hydrated. It's gonna be really hot outside

*They go to the cycling area and get on their bikes. The guys arrive to cheer on Andy and Shane. Logan holds Riley's leash but has to mildly restrain her when she tries to run to Shane*

*Riley's POV*
Shane is leaving me! He's leaving me! Where's he going?! I don't want him to go! I want him here! Don't leave me Shane! Please don't go! *She barks and tries to go towards him but his head back by Logan*

*End Of POV*

Logan: It's ok sweet girl. He'll be back. It's ok. Just relax. Calm down *Gently rubs her back until she lies down* Good girl *Gives Shane a thumbs up*

Shane: Thanks Logan

*The whistle is blown and he starts cycling. After about 2 hours 5 of the boys have gone 3 miles and quit. Andy and Shane have made it to the first check point, take a drink from their bottles and keep going. By the 4th check point they're exhausted. The guys go check on them*

Kendall: How ya doing little buddy?

Shane: My legs are on fire and my lungs have shrunk

James: Then you should stop

Shane: I can't. This money is gonna be donated to the animal shelter I adopted Ozzie and Tiberius from. They gave me my best furry and scaly friend. I have to show them how much I appreciate that

Kendall: You need to stop before you hurt yourself. So much money has been raised already

Shane: Yeah only $4,000. I want it to be at least $10,000. I can't stop until that happens

James: You're gonna make yourself sick. It's so hot outside

Carlos: Come on amigo stop now while you still can

Shane: I can't not until we reach our goal

Kendall:(sighs) Logan talk to him please

Logan: Shane you've done an amazing job but I think you should stop

Shane: You just want me to give up? Like these animals don't need homes? I'm doing this for Ozzie and Tiberius and all the other pets that deserve good homes. You're always telling me to never give up on what I want. To always keep moving forward to achieve my goal

Logan: I know but just listen to me

Shane: No you listen to me! I put you in charge of watching Riley not bossing me around *Starts riding again and Logan just sighs*

*3 hours later he's almost to the last checkpoint but begins to feel lethargic and starts slowing down. Andy is too far ahead to notice* He collapses a foot away from the final checkpoint*

*Shane's POV*

I'm almost there. Suddenly I feel super dizzy. The heat from the sun is cooking my insides. It's burning my back but I have to keep going. Everything is getting dark

*Andy finally notices after passing the final checkpoint that Shane wine with him*

Dude where are you? Shane? *Looks behind him and gasps when he sees him on the ground and runs to find Logan*

Kendall: Hey look Andy left his bike at the final checkpoint but I don't see him or Shane
