Hey-hey Wattpad,

Are you here because you're going to a private school

Or are you here because you're interested in what a real-life elite private school's like?

Either one, I'm glad you're here.

When you think about private schools, do you think of rich, snotty kids who have nothing better to do with their lives?

I did.

Perhaps they're also extremely cunning, or sleep around, or break the law and get away with it because they're rich. Kind of like Gossip Girl, don't you think?

Gossip Girl isn't the only media that reflects these kinds of prestigious academies. There are countless books, Wattpad stories, Episodes, and movies about the main character, most of the time a fish out of water in an elite private school. Or perhaps they were shipped out by their parents to a boarding school because they were misbehaving.

It's quite interesting to compare the media to real-life. Gossip Girl got many things wrong with the facts pertaining to the school itself, not including all of the over-the-top drama that's happening. I mean come one, they're still high schoolers. For example, they said that Erik van der Woodsen had a debate tournament at a Massachusetts boarding school, yet that would never happen in real life. They're too far away, for one, and also one's a day school and one's a boarding school.

Anyway, my point is media distorts private education into something otherworldly, or something vile. To a normal person, who would spend 60 grand a year to send their children to high school? Who would even have that kind of money?

Probably all the rich folks, am I right?

So because they're sending their kids to these institutions, then there must be something that makes it stand out from the public education normal people receive.

That must make some people bitter. And I'm going to tell you all about it.

From what goes on at school, the culture, relationships, and even the shady secrets elite private schools contain, I'll spill them all.

Have fun reading.

And don't forget to share, like, and comment!

xoxo,
