Madness

What?!? What does that mean? How did that happen?

My head is swirling with thoughts and questions. What is going on?

I came here to get some things cleared up, but everything got more confusing.

I suddenly have an idea. It was crazy, but it may work.

I decide to try to write back.

Draco, are you there? Where did you go?

I am frantic. I write in messy handwriting.

Where are you? It's me, Juliet.

No response.

No. This couldn't be. I can't find anything out. I'm in the darkness even more. The fast darkness is growing by the second.

This was madness. Everything is bloody madness. Darkness is only peaceful until a certain point. Then it becomes madness.

That's how people become corrupt and become bad from the darkness. Everything has a limit. So does darkness. Everything is madness after that. I am on the edge going into the madness. I couldn't handle anything more. I have to get out before anything else tips the scale and I was on the side of madness.

I carefully tuck the journal under my arm and start towards the giant gold gates. I need someone to talk to about all this. I need to talk to True.

True. True. The person who understands me better than nearly everyone, the person who I can count on through all ups and downs. The person who is always there for me. I thought about the note I had found earlier, it said they would take him. I couldn't let whoever that was take the only person I had.

I change my pace from a walk to a run. I needed to know that True was safe.

I throw open the gates.

"True! True! Are you there?" I call out as I burst through the door.

True is in the room filled with all the books we were searching for. He runs out to me.

"What's wrong? Are you okay? What happened?" He shakes me protectively.

I put a hand on his shoulder and whisper I'm fine. He shouldn't be the one asking me that, I should be the one asking him that. Tears start pouring down my eyes.

True's eyes soften. He leads me to a table and pulls out a chair for me to sit on. The tears were uncontrollable. I am gasping for air between my sobs.

True wipes the tears off my face as they continue to fall.

"Hey, it's all fine. What happened?" He whispers in his amazing voice. I can't stop sobbing.

True continues to wipe the tears off my face. "Deep breaths. Take deep breaths. Inhale then exhale."

I do as he instructs. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.

I finally gain composure again.

I close my eyes and take one last breath.

"What happened?" True asks, worried. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." True looks judgemental.

"Then why did you burst out sobbing?" He asks softly

"Many reasons." True nods understandingly, even though he doesn't know it all. He doesn't care what happens, he is always there for me.

"I'm going mad, True. Mental. I am going into the madness side of the darkness." I burst out suddenly.

"I won't let you go into the madness." True boldly promises. "You won't go into the madness. Not when you have me to keep you on the sane side of darkness." He adds with a smirk.
