Embracing The Chaos

Chapter 2

I'm still grounded so I spent my week going home earlier than usual.

We were having our lunch break when a student in our class approached me.

"Can we talk outside?"

It was Angela Espina, the prettiest student I ever laid my eyes on. She had a fair skin and pale complexion, it made her look a little weak.

I just followed her as we made our way in the back of our building.

"Asriel, right?" She asked with a smile.

"Yes, what do you want?"

"Kevin doesn't like you," She said with her earnest eyes. Her firm gaze is weighing my reaction.

I know that already, I learned it in the hard way. It hurts my pride to know that my dedicated suitor sleeps with my classmate, I find it really disgusting.

"Hey, did you hear me?"

"I know."

She looked at me confusedly, her delicate eyebrows raised as she assessed my answer.

"You knew? Then, do you also know that he and that girl are togeth—"

"Yes, I know. Is this what you wanted to talk about? I'll go ahead."

"Wait, are you being martyr right now?"

I faked a laugh, "We're not together so he can do whatever he wants and I still won't give a damn."

"Asriel.." Her eyes softened, she was about to say something when I walked away from her.

So nosy.

After weeks of being grounded, I finally decided to talk to Kevin.

"Ice," He smiled and greeted me.

"Can you stop courting me?"

That was the first sentence that came out of my mouth. His smile stiffened.

"Hindi kita naiintindihan. Why.."

"You can't understand english? Ang sabi ko, Tigilan mo na ako."

"Bakit? Ayoko."

"I don't like you," I don't wanna face him anymore. I have to stop him from this pretense.

"Tangina naman Ice, ilang buwan na kitang nililigawan. Ngayon mo pa ba ako iiwan sa ere?" He said looking frustrated.

I might believe him If I hadn't saw that disgusting scene. After all, he spent his months trying to be on my good side.

"I can't date you if I don't like you," I said, slightly getting irritated.

"Akala ko.. gusto mo na ako.. pinapaasa mo lang ba ako nitong ilang buwan?" He looked like I betrayed him it almost made me laugh.

I didn't answer.

"Paasa ka pala, Ice."

I heard a high-pitched voice behind Kevin, It's Michelle.

"Pero okay lang.. ibig sabihin, hindi na kailangang ma-guilty ni Kevin at pwede niya na akong ligawan," She said, she looked confident when she flashed her crooked-ass smirk.

I chuckled. "You have my blessings, go pick up the shoe I threw away," I said while leaving, My lips curling upwards.

"Why didn't you tell them you knew their affair?"

It was Angela Espina.

Again.

"Mind your own business," I told her. I'm not in the mood to deal with her.
