Chapter 6

Zach's pov

It was 1 AM and i was just walking in the street hunting. It was so dark but I like dark places. Suddenly I heard someone so I hid behind a tree. I grabbed a stick and stabbed myself with it. It was a women's voice so I walked to her and acted like I was in pain and told her to call an ambulance. As she was on her phone I bit her neck and sucked her dry. Oh man her blood was delicious. I took the body and buried it somewhere where no one can find it. So yea this trick always works. I went home and of course there was Ethan. He was reading a book. I've never seen him do anything else than reading or talking to Violet. He doesn't even hunt. He's missing a lot. He drinks blood bags from the hospital. Eww. He literally steals them. He's really weird.

Ethan's pov

I was reading a book and I was so relaxed until Zach came.

"Hey. I'm back." He said.

"Yea sadly." He just smirked.

"So I met a girl yesterday. Her name is Lauren and her blood is just mmmmm."

"Not interested." I said annoyed.

"I don't care. Anyway she couldn't stop talking about a girl named Ella Patterson." I immediately closed the book and started listening.

"You know dude. Lauren could be a fun blood bag for me." He said laughing.

"Don't even think about it. She's just 19 years old. She's innocent. Leave her alone." I said starting to get mad.

"Sorry Bro but I can't leave her. I'm addicted to her blood." He said and opened a tequila bottle. I got really mad so I just stormed to my room and closed the door really hard that it made Violet wake up.

"What's wrong are you ok?" She said worried.

"Yea yea I'm totally fine it's just.....Zach."

"Oh ok. You have to solve your problems Ethan. You're friends."

"I know that. I'll try." I said.

"Ok. Good night honey."

"Good night Violet."

Ella's pov

I woke up today full of energy. I was happy. For the first time in forever. We didn't have college today so I changed into my sports bra and shorts and I was just going to run and make some sports around the neighborhood. While I was running Ethan came to me. I was happy to see him.

"Hey." He said.

"Hi"

"How are you today?"

"I'm pretty good actually."

"Someone's in a good mood. Anyway I wanted to tell you something." He said.

"Yea I'm listening."

"Ok well do you have a friend named Lauren by any chance?" He asked.

"Yea. Why are you asking?"

"Well she's kinda hanging out with the wrong person. He's a really dangerous vampire and he's using her for her blood." WOW that's creepy. I gotta tell her.

"Oh my......." I said.

"Yeaaaa....so just tell her to get away from him."

"Yea yea of course. She's my best friend."

"Ok are you free today?" He asked.

"Yea."

"Well I was thinking if you would like to go on a date with me."

"Yea of course." Oh my god I'm so excited.

"Ok then I'll pick you up at seven."

"Ok." Then he disappeard but oh my gosh I'm going on a date. I'm actually going on a date!!! I have to tell Lauren and Sky. I'll text them.
E: OMG guys me and Ethan are now a couple and today he asked me on a date.
S: Oh my god!!!
L: Awww that's so sweet.
E: You guys have to help me.
S: Of course.
L: Yea sure.
E: Ok meet me at the grill now.
S: Ok.
L: Yea sure but I'll be late.

Ugh not again of course she's hanging with that son of a bitch. I closed my phone, got ready and went to the grill. I found Noah so I sat with him and we talked for a while until Sky came and then Noah left.

"Hey" I said

"Hey"

"I need to tell you something."

"What's wrong?"

"Lauren's mysterious guy is a dangerous vampire and he's just using her for blood and for fun. So she's basically his blood bag now."

"Oh my god that's awful we have to tell her but how did you even know?" She said.

"Ethan told me and yea I'm planning on telling her when she comes." Then we saw her coming towards us.

"Hi" She said.

"Hi. Sit down."

"Ok we need to tell you something." Sky said.

"Ok?" Lauren said. She was really confused. I told her everything. But of course she being herself didn't believe me.

"Of course not. He would never do something like that. He likes me and I like him. End of story." She then stormed out of the grill leaving us here speechless. Well of course I didn't tell her about vampires but I told her that he's using her. Me and Skylar then went to my house and we decided that I'll wear jeans and a nice white shirt and converse. And then I called Monica to come over and she did my hair. It was seven by now and of course Ethan was here because he's never late. I got in his car and he immediately started driving.

"So....?" I said.

"So....." We laughed.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll find out later."

"But what if you're going to kidnap me?"

"Oh so you don't trust me?"

"No of course I do but I need to know."

"We're almost there anyway so I think you can wait."

"Fine" I said. I really wanted to know. I hate surprises. And finally we got there. Wow it's amazing. The view is awesome.

"Excuse me but where are we?" I asked.

"In the woods we're going to have a picnic under the stars."

"Oh my gosh that's so romantic. I've never ever in my life had a date like this." I said.

"I'm glad you like it." We prepared everything and sat on the floor. We ate everything that was in the basket. It was all my favorite food. Then we layed down and looked at the stars.

"Hey Ethan? Tell me more about vampires."

"Ok well we have super speed and super hearing. We heal quickly. And we're immortal but we die if someone stabbed us in the heart."

"Wait you said you burn in the sun. How? I mean I saw you and you didn't burn."

"Yea. Violet my aunt well she's not really my aunt but she's related to my father. Anyway she cast a spell on me to make me not burn. But some vampires wear a daylight ring."

"Oh ok. It's late now. I should be back home." I said.

"Yea ok I'll drive you back." We got in the car and he drove me home. I told my mom that I'll go buy something from Starbucks and come back. It's near us. It was so dark I could barely see anything. I was walking back home when I heard a sound behind me. I turned around but there was nothing. Weird. I kept walking but I heard it again. This is getting kinda creepy. I turned around again and what I saw made me almost scream.
