Chapter 7

Ella's pov

In front of me was a man laying on the floor with blood around him. He whispered something. I think it was 'help'. I grabbed my phone and immediately dialed Ethan's number but suddenly I felt pain from my neck. I screamed and dropped the phone on the floor. I tried to get away but he was holding me tight. I could hear Ethan from the phone. He was worried.

"Ella? Ella. What's wrong. Can you hear me? Are you ok?" But of course I couldn't answer. I started to feel dizzy and my eyes were closing, but before I fainted the pain was gone and the vampire loosened his grip on me. I fell on the floor. I heard two people fighting but I was too tired to open my eyes.

I woke up in a white room. I was scared. Where am I? It looks like a hospital. I looked around and found Ethan sleeping on the chair next to my bed but he immediately woke up when he heard me moving.

"Why am I here?" I asked.

"Ella you lost a lot of blood and I had to bring you here. I'm sorry about what happened it's all my fault."

"Shhhhh it's ok. Everything is going to be fine. I'm here now." I calmed him down.

"Where's my mom?" I asked.

"She's with your sister in the cafeteria."

"Oh ok. When do I get to go home?"

"The doctor will check on you one more time then you'll go." Someone then knocked and opened the door. It was mom and Monica. When mom saw me she ran to me and hugged me.

"You're never going somewhere alone again." She said.

"But mom! I'm eighteen. That's unfair."

"Look at yourself your neck is bruised and you lost a lot of blood and you look so pale. What kind of a good mother would I be if I let you go alone again."

"Mom it was just an accident." I said.

"Ok maybe it was but still. An animal or whatever it was attacked you and this is not good at all." I looked at Ethan begging for help.

"Ok Mrs. Patterson don't worry I'll be with her. I'll protect her." Ethan said . Well at least I'll be with Ethan. The doctor then came in and checked on me one last time.

"Hey Ella I need to talk to you." Ethan said.

"Yea ok."

"I didn't tell your mom nor your sister that it was a vampire. I told them it was an animal and we have to keep it like that."

"Ok got it. But wait you're the one that saved me right?"

"Yea I'm your savior and I'll always be." I hugged him.

"Thank you Ethan. For everything." I said then we went home.

Ethan's pov

I got back home as fast as I could. I was very angry at Zach. How could he?

"Hey Zach why did you do it?" I asked.

"Did what?" He said.

"Don't play games with me. I want an answer."

"Oh you mean the girl?" He was drunk. He was acting weird and I could smell it in his breath.

"I was hungry." He said.

"What the fuck you almost killed the girl."

"Yea but I didn't and I actually like her. She's beautiful and I can tell that she has a good personality."
