~Yrah's POV

"Finally, I've caught you."

Hearing his voice again reminds me of the tragic past. When my father was still the Chief of police and my mother was still the Captain of the military.

I remembered Dad talking about his case. I never then expected that the day will come na yun pa pala ang huling kaso na hahawakan ni Dad.

And now, we've came face to face again.

"Resvales Alta Mercy," puno ng puot kong wika at napakuyom.

My grip in my gun's trigger tightened. If only we're not in the disadvantage, I won't let this opportunity pass. I'd perhaps already shoot him!

But thanks God I'm still thinking of my life and Hera's. The anger in my heart isn't enough to sacrifice anybody's life.

"This is so damn bad! Tagilid na tagilid tayo! Ang dami nila," Hera hissed, clenching her jaw and tightening her fist.

Napapalibutan na kami at wala na talagang takas.

While looking toward our enemies, I'm having hard time thinking of a way out!

"I've been setting a meeting with you two. You've been interfering with my business when you shouldn't. You— agents are a pain in the ass," may panunuya sa boses na wika ni Resvales at humakbang pababa sa hagdan. Sumunod ang anak niya at hindi kami nilulubayan ng tingin.

Hera and I exchanged glances, my heart's pounding hard as I think of a plan but I couldn't even make such.

"And now, you are so brave to barge in here. How could you, agents?" Resvales added. He's old but not old enough. He still looks powerful and strong.

They stopped five steps downward and throw us cold stares.

I shut my eyes tight and then opened it. Agad na nanlisik ang mga mata ko nang tumuon ito kay Resvales na may mayabang na ngisi.

When our gaze met, he smirked coldly and raised his brows.

"But I somehow understand you, I somehow know where you are coming," Nakangising wika niya at para bang alam kong ako ang kanyang tinutukoy.

Naaalala niya pa ako, sigurado 'yan!

"Ang sama mo talaga," nagngingitngit na usal ko at nagtatagis ang panga.

Tumawa siya. Tumawa rin ang anak niya at napamura na lang kami sa inis.

I then remembered Nicolas! Darn, where is he?! His our last hope for escape!

"Fighting back, to us is nonsense...Alcazar." Nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang binanggit niya ang surname ko. Now I'm sure that he does remember me! "But I'll give you chance to live...only if you work for me," he added.

Hera then snorted like she's about to burst out of laughter. Even I, felt disgusted by it.

I've encountered many devil incarnated people like him who has offered us the same.

"Work for you my ass. I'd rather die! You, syndicates and mafias are no sense at all," Hera hissed.

"Hmm, then we can't do anything about your situation. You'll die then? D'you want that?" Ani Restante.

"I'd rather die fighting than accept your offer. Sayang ang pinaghirapan kong reputasyon," ani Hera.

The two Alta Mercy just shrugged. Then Resvales eyed me with a wry smirk.
