"Finally!!" I mutter reaching the treehouse. Oh Irene... Please help me find my baby girl... Ab- wait...
Almost on cue, an adorable little red fox comes barking in the hands of non other than Kawaii~Chan.
"Kawaii~Chan!" I run and hug the Meif'wa.
"Anna~Senpai!" She squeals. Her face slowly goes from happy to sad. "I'm so happy you're back! When Aphmau returned with Laurence and Katelyn... but you weren't here, I was so worried..."
"Well, I'm not dead! Yay!" I laugh. "Thank you for taking care of Phoenix."
She hands me my little familiar. "It was no problem! Although... He did scare me a few times by disappearing for days on end."
"I should probably tell you, he's a familiar and was only traveling to the spirit realm to regain some more energy."
"Huh? Anna~Senpai, what are you saying?"
"When a witch and familiar are apart for a long time, both slowly lose their energy. It is true that a familiar gives a witch more power but a witch gives a familiar more energy."
"Are you saying you're a witch?" KC asks.
"Yea... I'm sorry for not telling you." I reply.
KC hugs me and tells me she isn't mad or anything.
"Um... Is Emmalyn around? I need to talk to her."
"She should be either with Kenmur in the treehouse or at Irene statue." KC replies.
"Irene statue?" I question.
"In the old marketplace, there is a path that leads up a hill, you'll find it there. Wait until Aphmau talks to her first though... I'm not sure why but Donna said it was important Aphmau spoke to Emmalyn first."
"Alright. Thanks! I'm going to go hang out with Phoenix so we can both be prepared in case of anything."
"Bye Anna~Senpai!" KC says, walking towards her house.
"Hmm... Hey uh... Aaron?" I say looking towards the shirtless man standing high in the tree.
"Yea?"
"What was your favorite memory of of our family?"
"The first time I met you." He says.
"Huh...? But, I only met you a few months ago." I reply, confused.
"I met you the week you became a Lycan." Aaron mentions.
"What!? Why was I never told this?! I was told, I never met you..."
"Anna... Our parents had a reason to not tell you."
"W-what do you mean?"
"I asked them to keep you out of my life."
"Why?" I ask, angrily, on the verge of tears.
"Anna... As soon as I met you, I feel in love with how cute you were... I wanted to know, love and cherish my little sister, but... I had a village to run and having a young child around, specifically one close to a lord is a stupid idea. There are many risks and many chances for that could to get hurt... I didn't want to be the reason that you go hurt."
"It's bitter-sweet. I always wanted to meet my brother, even after I heard what happened to his village, but now that I have and I'm able to remember... I wish I didn't."
"Anna!" Aaron yells.
"Leave me alone. I'm not interested in talking to you." I mutter, walking off. Phoenix is happily walking behind. I pick him up and bring him downstairs.
