We arrive in the Boss's office. Aphmau and I stand next to each other, facing the Boss, with Katelyn and Garroth behind us to the side.
"Well, I never expected to see your soft face around here again. I thought Amber must have seen a ghost or was having one of her silly daydreams again." The Boss says, looking at Aphmau. "And you... Well, I thought you'd probably have died, knowing what comes out of your mouth."
My eyes twinge, thinking about how much as changed since we last met.
"You both finally got that Meif'wa thing fixed, I see." The Boss states.
"It's been awhile. It's good to see you're all doing well." Aphmau says.
"Of course I'm doing well. I always look out for myself." The Boss gloats. "On the plus side, you're looking good, too... The world seem to have been treating you both pretty well."
"Looks can be deceiving." I state.
"I can tell. Something about the look in your eyes seem different." The Boss says. "Aphmau, you've become a women instead of that little frail girl I saw months ago and... Anna.. Your eyes are lot darker than they once were as if something from your past is haunting you or..."
I look away from the Boss for a moment and then look back.
"I can't imagine you two only came to show of your new looks." The Boss says. "You must be here for something."
"We want to get into O'Kasis." Aphmau says.
"Ahhaha! AHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAH!" The Boss laughs. "You want into O'Kasis!? You must be some of the dumbest people in Ru'an! No one is looking to get INTO O'Kasis."
"We've been over this already." Katelyn adds.
"Trust us. They're crazy, but serious." Garroth announces.
"I'll say this again. We want. To get into. O'Khasis." Aphmau state.
"And what makes you think I can help you with that?" The Boss questions.
"Because I know you." Aphmau replies.
Oh, you do now?" The Boss asks.
"You have a small guild. Despite that, you have a big impact in the whole of the region. You never underestimate your marks, your smart, you play is safe and you value information over almost anything else." Aphmau says.
"Not bad..." The Boss replies.
"Which is why I am willing to bet that if anyone knows anything about O'Khasis and Tu'La, it's you." Aphmau says. "You know the power of information and how useful it can be. When I was of no use to you back then, you had no problem cutting me loose."
"... My, my... What changed you to be this confident? I am impressed." The Boss says. "You've both changed quite a bit... I wonder what could have effected you both so much."
I glare at the Boss and she take notice but think nothing of it.
"You're right though. I have been keeping tabs on Tu'La and O'Khasis. But what I haven't figured out yet, is why I should help you...? What do I get out of this?" The Boss questions.
"We want the same thing. Information." I state.
"If you help us get into O'Khasis, we'll share all the information we learn with you and the guild." Aphmau says.
"Now this is getting interesting... What kind of information are you looking for?" The Boss asks. "Maybe I already know about it."
"We're looking for information that ties Tu'La- Tu'La's occupation to the Ro'Meave family." Aphmau states.
