Garroth gains an advantage, only to be knocked down but he gets up. Their swords clash multiple times, before Garroth looses his edge a little and stumbles back, with Ivy's sword to his neck. The relic inside him glows and sends a blinding light out, giving Garroth time to kick Ivy back.
Garroth pins Ivy to the floor and she gives in, pleading not to die. "Please, don't kill me!"
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't?" Garroth responds.
"Do you really want to kill me in front of you mother?" Ivy asks.
"You ravished O'Khasis, killed thousands, imposed marshal low on the city... I would like nothing better than to slit your throat." Garroth replies. "But it's not me you have to answer to..."
"Aw... Thanks Garroth, you gave me my own entrance speech. Now it's time for me to kill someone."
"Bestie! I didn't realise you were here! If I did, I would have sharpened my sword." Ivy states, growling.
"Come at me."
Ivy runs for me, sword at the ready. Instantly, we clash swords, both holding their own easily. Ivy's lack of defense on her previous attack gives me an advantage I use. I swing the bottom half of my sword and slice her leg. Since she's wearing armor, it doesn't cut her, but it knocks her down. While she's down, she kicks my legs and knocks me to the ground as well.
"Anna!" Garroth yells, worried about me.
"I'm fine. Stay out of this, Garroth." I yell back, pinning Ivy to a wall. "I'm going to enjoy this..."
"Heh. Kill me and you'll never know where your precious daughter is."
"Abby..." Hearing Ivy's words, causes me to falter.
"Ooo! Did that one sting?" Ivy smiles, using my lowered guard to force me to switch places with her.
Her sword is pressed firmly against my neck and Ivy is clearly prepared to slice at will. I grit my teeth and do something irrational. I spit in her face. For once, my irrational behaviors worked in my favor. It causes Ivy to stumble back in disgust. Once I'm free from her grasp, I kick her in the stomach, but forget to regain my awareness of my surroundings. As soon as I turn around for one second to check on the boys, Ivy punches me in the stomach.
"Gah!" I scream.
Ivy's punch causes me to scream in pain, "Gah!"
"Do you need help?" Vylad yells, concerned, prepared to run over.
"Ivy..." I fall to my knees in agony. "You're going to pay for this..."
"What's wrong with you? I didn't punch you that hard. Don't tell me you're going soft one me..." Ivy states.
Even though I'm in immense pain, I stand up, dropping my sword. Holding my stomach with one hand, I snap my fingers on my free hand and summon my staff. "Tell me where my daughter is."
"Hm... No! I'll never tell you."
"Then it doesn't matter whether or not I kill you." I state. "But that's not up to me... You may have caused me so much grief in the past... And possibly ruined given ruined my future... It's not my decision to kill you... It's the people. My people. They deserve to choose your fate." I say, casting a healing spell on myself, before falling back onto the ground.
"Anna!" Garroth yells, rushing over to me.
"Stay back, Garroth!" I scream. "I'm not done with her yet."
"Please... You're in no state to fight." Ivy smiles, "You should have killed me when you had the chance!"
"No... But... From the looks of it... I don't... Have to..." I smile, breathing heavily through every word as Ivy runs straight for me.
