Chap. 2 ~ The Forest Guardian

~~~~~~/Anna's POV/~~~~~~

My eyes slowly open, I am in strange room laying on a bed. I look to my right and see that there is a window, dark green walls and a little round table with 2 chairs, on it is a plate of food and a glass of water.

"Oh good, You're awake!" I look to the door and see an elf. I thought elves only stayed in the Yggdrasil forest that's strange.

"I don't mean to be rude but who are you?" I ask bluntly.

"Oh right!! I'm Zoey, I'm the one who helped heal your wounds." She said.

"Oh... Thanks." I say coldly.

"I'm going to go and get Aphmau now." I nod at her comment.

A few moment later Zoey walks back into the room with Aphmau. Katelyn followed close behind. I attempt to sit up but my shoulder still hurts. I wince in pain. No-one noticed, good! I don't need any one thinking I am weak or have any weaknesses.

I try and stand up to go over to the window something is tugging on my hand... I look to my hand, it was chained to a bar along the wall... It is about 70cm long... I can't really go much further than sitting up, without hurting my hand by tugging on it, great. I roll my eyes and then I notice Aphmau starring at me, her eyes were lighting up like a child on their birthday.

"Anna! I'm so glad you're ok!!" Aph said with tears starting to form in her eyes.

"As much as I hate to admit it but so am I..." I smile at Katelyn.

"Thanks..." I say coldly again.

"Hey Zoey?"

"Yes, Aphmau?"

"Can you please go and get my boys? I want them to meet Anna, mainly Levin."

"Sure Aph!" Zoey walked out of the room and Katelyn sat on one of the chairs and patted the other one, suggesting for me to come and sit down.

I sat down and Katelyn asked, "Anna... I know it has been 16 years but... Why haven't you changed a single bit? I mean like you look the exact same!!"

I laugh nervously. "I could ask you the same question."

"I went into the Irene dimension with Aph here and a few others."

"Zane... He went to didn't he?" Aphmau nods and Katelyn clenches her fist.

"Because of him I missed my boys growing up, I'll never forgive him for that! He also declared war on my village and attempted to make me marry him, luckily that never happened." Aph stated.

"I know how you feel..." I said.

"About what?" Katelyn and Aphmau asked in unison.

"All of it and more... Zane was one cruel jerk to me and my family."

The girls gave me really confused looks then two young boys then entered the room. One had blue eyes and blonde hair, reminds me of Garte, the lord of O'kasis. The other looked like Laurence a bit, he had brown hair and green eyes, with a matching scarf that covered half of his face.

"Hey mom! You wanted to speak with us?" The blonde kid said.

"Yes, thank you for coming boys."

"Nice kids you got there Lady Aphmau!" I said confidently with a smirk. Wrong move... I'm an idiot.

Aphmau looked at me a little shocked and flustered, the blonde one was blushing like a tomato and as for the brown haired kid, I couldn't tell because of his scarf but he tried to hide his face a little.
