Shiki and Kojiro both jump back to gain some distance. In terms of combat experience, Kojiro has the edge. However, Shiki wasn't going to go down so easily. There was a reason Teru chose him to deal with Kojiro and he wasn't going to make his friend's judgement of him wrong.

"Alright then Kojiro, i'll give you a fight you won't forget."

Suddenly Kojiro lost sight of Shiki. The boy he was just fighting had suddenly disappeared. When he looked up, he used his sword to block a strike from above him. Shiki was pushing his knife against Kojiro's sword. Soon the ghost jumped back to gain distance as Shiki lands on his feet.

As Kojiro held his blade to the side, he saw Shiki crouching down. Since he is human, Kojiro believed the boy to be exhausted since most humans would find the stunts that Shiki pulled to be quite taxing on the body.

Though he was proven wrong in a matter of moments. Shiki suddenly disappeared from Kojiro's sight again. After quickly lunging forward, Shiki donkey kicks Kojiro in the groin. As Kojiro was sent flying, Shiki disappeared again. When Kojiro looked back he saw Shiki was behind him.

As Shiki lunge forward to cut Kojiro with his knife, he suddenly jumps towards a tree to avoid a sword slash from the spirit. Soon Shiki jumps from a tree branch as he found himself clashing his knife against Kojiro's blade.

"I must say, you're pretty agile for a human. Usually any normal human would be exhausted from all the stunts you pulled, yet you haven't broken a sweat."

Kojiro was impressed by Shiki. This one human male was pushing him back. To be honest, he felt so thrilled to face a strong opponent. Shiki soon spun his body and lands a strong kick on the left side of Kojiro's body.

"Thanks for the compliment, however that doesn't change your actions one bit."

~Flashback~
"Teru, how bad has this situation gotten?"

Shiki was standing in front of Teru. The boy had a serious expression on his face as he looked at his glasses wearing friend.

"Two people from the kendo club were severely injured when they stayed late to clean their clubroom. One of them was from Kamome Academy's Middle School Department."

Shiki's eyes widened as he heard the news. One of those students were in the same class as Kou. Seeing his expression, Teru walked towards Shiki. As he did, he spoke up once more.

"Shiki, we need to put a stop to this for good. If we don't and it goes after Kou........."

"That's not going to happen Teru. After all, i'm here to do deal with this mess remember."

Teru smiled as he looked at Shiki. He knew that when it comes to killing, no one could do it better than Shiki. Though he hopes Shiki doesn't resort to using "those" eyes unless necessary.

"Once again, i'm always counting on you. Shiki, defeat the Gatekeeper. Protect this school from this apparition."

Shiki just turns his back and walks out the door. As he exits, Teru sees a small smile on the boys lips. He knew that Shiki was prepared for the challenge he had ahead of him.
~Flashback ends~

"I will admit you are tough, but you made a big mistake involving innocent people. That's why, even though i respect your craft, i will never show you mercy."

"Good, that is the way it should be. You know, i'm a firm believer that actions speak louder than words. As our blades crossed, your story was told to me. In response for giving me a great battle, i shall use the only weapon in my arsenal. For you, my sparrow, my ultimate technique."
