"I remember that night so well. Everyone smiling as they weaved baskets. Telling scary stories around the fire. Though as this happened, i heard the sound of a flute. My eyes grew heavier and heavier, i couldn't manage to stay awake. All i remember...
"Be careful around that boy, Yashiro. He's dangerous."
Yashiro couldn't believe her eyes. The two boys in front of her were clashing at each other with inhuman speed. She began to wonder if this was the reason why Hanako warned her about Shiki.
Roa tried to slash at Shiki with his knife, but the boy quickly jumped to the side. Shiki spun his body and tries to cut off Roa's arm, only for the vampire to grab him by the head and slam him to the ground.
Shiki kicks Roa away from him and lunged forward. He elbows the vampire's stomach, causing him to cough up blood. Soon Shiki swung his knife as he aimed for the lines of death he saw on Roa's body.
Roa jumps back, but his chest was cut open during this process. Yashiro held her tongue as she looked in fear. She saw blood on the ground from where Shiki attacked the man in front of him. However, what truly frightened her was the look on Shiki's face.
Most people would be scared of seeing blood. Most people would freak out being in a life or death situation. But Shiki was showing the opposite of that. In fact, he looked like he was enjoying every single moment of this.
"I won't stop Roa. I'll do whatever it takes to kill you where you stand."

Yashiro was surprised by what Shiki said. He talked about killing someone so casually like it was no big deal. To be honest, Yashiro was scared. How could she not be scared in this situation. As Roa looked at Yashiro, he smiled.
"Oh is this your first time seeing his true nature? Well take a long look. THIS is the true Shiki. He's not some nice guy or a reliable person. He's nothing but a killer."
"Cut the crap, Roa!!!"
Shiki rushed towards Roa with great speed. When he got close enough to Roa, he thrusts his knife forward. Seeing this, Roa decided to return the favor and thrusts his own knife forward. Blood stains the ground as both of them stabbed each other in the shoulder. They jumped back to gain some distance, but Yashiro could only watch in horror as she looked at Roa.
"This man......he's nothing like Hanako-kun or even Yako-san. Just what is he?"
"Yashiro!!! You need to get out of here!!!! Run now!!!!!"
Roa was surprised by Shiki's outburst, but it was now replaced with a villainous smile. Soon Roa dashed towards Yashiro with incredible speed. As Yashiro tried to run away, Roa swung his knife. Yashiro closed her eyes and braced herself for pain.
However, Yashiro was surprised when she didn't feel any pain. When she opened her eyes, she looked at the ground and saw a severed arm. When she looked up, she saw Roa was missing an arm and in front of her was Shiki. He was standing in front of her with blood stained on his face.
She couldn't hold it in anymore. Yashiro lets out a scream after what she just witnessed. She was scared, she wanted nothing more than to run away and not turn back. As she started running, Shiki smiled to himself.
"That's right. Keep running Yashiro. Don't ever look back. The image of your senpai is completely gone. All i am is a murderous monster. If staying away from me helps you live longer, than i'm fine with being alone."
"Sending her away was a good move on your part Shiki. Now we don't need to hold ourselves back."
"Fine then, i'll play along for now. Let's settle this.........."
~Meanwhile~ As Yashiro was running, several questions were running through her mind. Who was this Roa person? Why was Shiki trying to kill him? She didn't know what to make of this situation. As she ran, she accidentally bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where i was going."
"No, its fine. In fact, i'm also in a hurry."
Yashiro looked at the person she bumped into. She was a real beauty. With her blonde hair and red eyes, she could have a number of guys wanting to ask her out. Soon she saw the girl running in the direction where Shiki was.
"W-wait! You shouldn't go that way!"
However, the girl didn't hear Yashiro as she kept running as fast as she could. Yashiro didn't want someone to be caught up in Shiki's fight or worse. She took a deep breath and started running back to where Shiki was.
~With Shiki~ Shiki lunged forward in an effort to slash Roa's lines of death, but the vampire used his own knife to block Shiki's strike.
"That's weird....you're not using the Nanaya Assassination arts. Could it be that they were also lost along with your memories."
Roa soon grabs Shiki's face and slams him onto the ground. Soon he stomped on Shiki's chest as the boy coughed up blood. When Roa looked at Shiki's chest, he saw a large scar. Soon the vampire started to laugh.
"Looks like one thing hasn't changed. Tell me Shiki, who do you think died back then?"
"What are you talking abou-"
"You remember don't you. Sakura crying, a boy on the verge of dying, and the boy who killed him. What i'm asking you is simple? Who do you think died back then?!"
Shiki stopped for a moment. He tried to answer yet he couldn't find the words. Soon he started wondering, was he the one who killed the boy? Was he the one who became a murder? But then...........how come he still had this scar on his chest.
"I may be the current Roa, but i'm still calling the shots. Hard to believe your memories are a bit messed up, i guess i have the Minamoto family to blame for that."
As Roa lifts Shiki by his head, he saw the lines and points on Shiki's chest. Soon Roa smiled as he said one thing to the boy before slashing the lines he saw.
"Remember the meaning behind your scar. Give in to the desires you keep secret. Then you'll know the truth...though it won't matter in a moment."
~With Arcueid~ Arcueid ran as fast as she could. She needed to hurry no matter the cost. She saw the girl she met earlier was following her. However, she didn't have the time to focus on her. She sensed the presence of another vampire and she went to check it out.
Soon Arcueid arrived at her destination but wasn't prepared for what she saw. There was a body lying on the ground in a pool of blood as it held a knife in its hand. When she stepped forward, she saw a familiar pair of glasses on the ground.
"No.....no no no.....please don't let this be true."
As she walked forward, she saw the face of the person on the ground. As she rushed forward, she heard Yashiro approaching. Soon the girl arrived on the scene, but now she was regretting coming back. As she looked on the ground, she saw a boy on the ground, his eyes looked as if they lost the life they once had in them. Soon, Yashiro called out to the person she saw lying on the ground with tears in her eyes.
