"Hello! Thanks for yesterday."
As the girl before Shiki was smiling innocently, the boy himself looked horrified. The incident he hoped to be a nightmare seemed more and more real.
"No....way....."
"Oh, have you forgotten?"
The girl held two of her fingers and moved them back and forth to simulate a slashing motion.
"Yesterday, you chopped me up into pieces with a knife right?"
".....aaaaggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!"
Shiki wanted to believe the incident was a dream. He didn't want to know that he was a murderer. But if the incident was a dream, why would that girl appear before him. If it were a dream, why was he running away screaming. Deep down, Shiki had already accepted what he did.
"I don't have a specific destination in mind. But i just wanted to escape, why is it so hard for me to accept the reality of the sitiuation."
As Shiki was running away, he dropped his phone in the process. The girl saw this and picked up the phone. Seeing this, the girl sighed as she knew finding him might be troublesome but she wants to return it to him. Plus it'll give her a chance to talk him.
"I wonder.....is he the infamous Satsujinki i heard about recently?"
She was curious about the boy. After he killed her, it took a lot of her power to restructure her own body again. Though she was surprised that a mere human could kill her since she was a vampire. Plus the knife the boy had seemed to be a regular knife so it shouldn't have been able to injure her, let alone kill her.
"Humans and the world they live in are truly interesting."
~With Shiki~
He was running through the city. He didn't have a specific place in mind, he just kept running and running. As this happened, he accidentally bumped into someone. As he looks ahead, he saw Yashiro on the ground."Oh, Yashiro.....i'm so sorry."
"Aozaki-senpai...its okay. What's wrong...you have a worried look on your face."
Shiki looks around for a moment, he was sure he got away from the girl he saw earlier. Shiki helped Yashiro up as they both walk together.
"Well.....i did something terrible. Let's just say i hurt someone and then i saw that person again. I didn't want to face that person, not after what i did. So I ran as far away as i could. Heh, just shows how bad a person i really a-"
"You're wrong, Aozaki-senpai!!!"
Shiki looked at Yashiro with his eyes widened. She looked so serious and there was no deceit in what she said.
"You're wrong. You aren't a bad person. You haven't forgotten what you did and you're feeling bad about it, right? That just shows how kind you really are. If you were really a bad person, then why would you care so much about this situation."
Shiki was speechless as he listened to the girl's words. A few moments passed as Yashiro suddenly turned around to hide her embarrassed face.
"I'm such an idiot! I can't believe i told off an upperclassmen! To make matters worse, he's friends with Minamoto-senpai! What am i going to do if he hates me for acting out like that?"
Yashiro was panicking inside of her head. As he saw this, Shiki slightly laughed. As Yashiro turned around, she felt Shiki's hand on her head. When she looked at the boy, she saw that he had a smile on his face.
