In the middle of the night Ananda woke up from a nightmare. Her throat was dry and she decided to go to the watering hole. Only problem, she's scared of the dark. She didn't want to wake her parents, so she tried to wake Rayie.
Ananda: wake up.
Rayie: uhhh. Go back to sleep.
She said quietly.
Ananda remembered that Danny's cave was close to the tree. She decided to go and see if Danny was awake. She quickly ran out of the tree and closed her eyes the entire way, until she bumped into something. She was scared to open her eyes, what if it was an attacker, or a monster.
Ananda: p-please, d-don't hurt me.
Ananda started crying a bit and was shaking while cowering on the ground.
Danny: you're ok. You're ok. I promise.
Danny said in soft and comforting voice.
Ananda looked up to see Danny there looking at her. She was embarrassed, but at that moment she didn't care, she was so scared she ran and hugged him.
Danny: I'm sorry for scaring you.
Ananda: I-I'm sorry for running into you, why are you out here.
Danny: I saw you running here and decided to meet you half way.
Danny tried to pull away from the hugg but Ananda kept hugging.
Ananda: c-can we stay like this for a sec. I'm really scared of the dark.
Danny smiled at her.
Danny: sure.
After a minute, they pulled away but Danny kept close to Ananda as they walked to the watering hole. When there, they both had water and stared into the moon.
Ananda: it's beautiful isn't it.
Danny: I've seen better.
Ananda:(scoff) like what.
Danny: w-well, you.
Ananda looked shocked, however, that was soon replaced with a slight chuckle from her along with a lot of blushing.
Ananda: y-you think I'm beautiful.
Danny: no. I know you are.
Ananda: o-oh well t-thanks.
Ananda and Danny looked into each other's eyes. They would have continued for a lot longer, but a cold breeze blew making Ananda shiver.
Ananda: brrr. I-it's so cold.
The wind started howling, making Ananda get scared again.
Danny: it's ok, I'm here.
He pulled himself right next to her.
Ananda: I-it's ok if you laugh at me, I know it's lame, me being scared of the dark.
She said sadly.
Danny: first off, you are not scared of the dark.
Ananda: h-how?
Danny: you're afraid of being alone in the dark. But your never alone, you have your family and well m-me.
They both started blushing.
Danny: second. I won't laugh at you, you're smart, clever, beautiful, Amazing, kind, cute, Noble, playful and the most adorable lion ever. And I say it again, Beautiful.
Ananda: r-really.
Danny: really.
Ananda hugged him and placed her head below his and started crying.
Danny wrapped his arms around her and asked her what's wrong.
Ananda: n-no ones ever said that to me before.
Danny: then they don't know what there talking about.
Ananda started crying more.
Ananda: my whole life I felt like I would never find anyone. All the boys I met were either chasing after my sister or bully's. Then I met you, and I thought there was no way you'd want to even be seen with me, a-
Danny cut her off.
Danny: a what! A kind girl, a beautiful, amazing, smart girl. Why not. I thought you already had a boyfriend from how magnificent you are.
Ananda stopped hugging and they gazed into each other's eyes, they each got lost in each others Blue-green and red eyes.
Ananda: I-I love you.
Danny backed away and started to leave.
Ananda: I-I'm sorry, p-please don't leave.
It was to late, he was nowhere to be seen. Ananda broke down crying, until she felt a head on hers, it was Danny, he had a flower in his mouth.
Danny: s-Sorry I scared you. May I.
Ananda nodded and he put the flower in between her ear before looking down crying. Ananda was always a cry baby her self, but she had never seen Danny cry.
Ananda: w-what is it.
Danny: my whole life I told myself I could never love anyone, but then I met you and I still tried to say I didn't love you. But, that's not me. I love you and I would give anything, just to see you smile.
Danny broke down crying, Ananda was close to crying herself, but she wanted to be strong, for him. For 5 minutes Danny wept while his head has under hers. After, they embraced in a hug. They realized then sun was coming up, so they went to the top of a cliff to watch the sun set. While looking out, Ananda put her head on his shoulder and he put his head on her's.
After watching it rise, they started yawning.
Danny: (yawn)
Ananda: (yawn)
Danny: hehe, even your yawn is cute.
Ananda blushed again.
Danny: wanna take a nap.
Ananda: what if my family see's, I don't want them knowing yet.
Danny: I'll just tell them I found you at the watering hole, asleep, and decided to take you up here and I fell asleep.
Ananda: sure.
They both lied down and began cuddling.
Danny: I love you.
Ananda: I love you more.
Danny: I love you, too much.
Ananda kissed him on the forehead.
Ananda: not possible.
Danny cuddled her so that he had an arm over and under her with her head under his. Ananda fell asleep in seconds but Before going to bed Danny said 1 last thing.
Danny: I will protect you with my life and above all things. Sweet dreams, Ananda.
