kion felt like his heart was ripped out. All he felt was pain. He couldn't even talk to Rani, he just stood there, frozen with fear, he wanted to cry, he wanted to hug and comfort Rani, he wanted to tell her that she'll be alright. But he couldn't. All he could do was stand there, lost in thought. After 5 minutes he snapped him self out of the trance he was in, he saw Rani crying, he hugged her her tightly, he slowly lead both of them to a little cave the bottom of pride rock. Once there, they both broke down sobbing.
Kion wanted so bad to tell her that It would be ok, or that she'd be fine. But he couldn't.

The whole day had gone by and Rani and Kion we're starting to calm down.
Kion:(still crying) (sniff) h-how long. Until (sniff) you know.
Rani: makini says I have about 400 days. She assured me that nothing will happen to our cub. I'm about 4 weeks from giving birth.
Kion: I still don't understand. Why can't we just use the tree of life, or Nirmala give you therapy.
Rani: it's called hibolic disease.

Kion had told the guard and his and Rani's family about Rani's condition. They all had a day to morn but the next day they began searching for a cure.

3.9 weeks later, they were still searching for a cure, Kion spent all his time By Rani's side, he only left to get her food. But then it happened.
Rani: Kion!
Kion: yes! Are you ok?
Rani: I think it's time for us to be parents.
