I sit down on my bed with my phone in my hand nervous. My boyfriend sits next to me rubbing my back. Payton was always there for me and he knows how scary it is for me to do this.

"It's gonna be okay"  He says kissing my cheek. My phone rings and I pick up. 

"H-hello" I say. The voice chuckles and the nervousness fills my body. 

"Hello baby" The voice says. My father...he is in jail. He was never there and i talk to him last month, but I still get nervous..

"H-hi I just wanted you to meet someone.." I say as my voice shakes. Payton holds me close and it calms me down.

"Okay..take your time..I'll wait.." I hear my dad say as I give the phone to payton. 

"Hello sir.." Payton says looking at me with a smile. I smile back and put my head on his shoulder. 

"Hey so are you my baby's boyfriend" I hear and payton chuckles softly. 

"Yes sir I'm her boyfriend" He says and hearing that makes me smile and blush. 

"Make sure to treat her right okay..." i hear my dad pause.

"Payton sir.." He says and kisses my head. I giggle and I hear my dad chuckle in happiness. 

"I had a feeling you two were right for each other..but hey- payton right, be a good man I'm trusting you" He says and I look at payton as tears fall down my cheeks. He wipes them away and gives me the phone. 

"I have to go baby, but I'll talk to you next time okay!" He says as I hear him whisper "she's growing" and I put him on speaker.

"Bye!" We both say as he says "i love you" and hang up.

"So it wasn't that bad right!" Payton says as we both plop on the bed exhausted just from talking. 

I cuddle close to him and laugh. 

"Yeahh- no, but anyways time to sleep me tired!" I groan and he kisses my head falling to sleep. 

I love him and I'm glad he's here with me.🧸✨
