Yeonjun shakily stepped into his apartment, letting his bag and keys drop onto the floor as he leaned back on the door, closing it.

After he had finished his conversation with Yeji, she had left him in his office feeling absolutely numb. He hadn't even bothered staying the rest of the workday at the studio and had left shortly after, leaving Taehyun in charge and very worried over his boss's sudden change in character. On the drive home, he felt a fire in his body ignite and he desperately felt the need to get home as quickly as possible.

Now, he had made it to where he wanted to be, and he finally let himself break piece by piece in the privacy of his home as he slid down the door and onto the floor, resting his head on his knees as he began to sob uncontrollably. Yeonjun's day had started out so well, but now it had been absolutely ruined and he had been left in a state of despair.

"It can't be," Yeonjun pleaded softly in between sobs as he tried catching his breath. "It just can't..."

His mind brought him back to his conversation with Yeji earlier in the day.

Yeonjun had been completely dumbfounded by what Yeji had said to him in the midst of their argument. It sounded so outlandish and so ludicrous that he actually thought she had said it for shock value so that he could stop and listen to her. Unfortunately for him, he was completely wrong.

"He'll what?" Yeonjun had asked disbelievingly. Yeji tried to speak but Yeonjun only interrupted her. "You better not be saying that just to fuck with me. So think before you falsely accuse Soobin of being able to do that again."

This had not phased Yeji, and she shook her head before standing her ground.

"I'm telling the truth," she had admitted before sitting down once again. "You might want to sit down for this too."

Yeonjun had not known what exactly she was about to get into, but he still sat down, ready to refute any unfounded allegations against Soobin. That's what he had planned to do. That was, until she pulled out a file. Yeji had held it tightly to her chest, almost safeguarding it in a way before she began to speak.

"You guys have just started dating, huh?" she had asked, to which Yeonjun had nodded. "You probably think he's really sweet, don't you?"

It was here that Yeonjun had noticed her facial expression sadden slightly before she spoke up again.

"He was like that with me too... in the beginning. Then he started to..."

Yeonjun remembered how Yeji had tried to continue her sentence, but slowly teared up instead before pushing the folder towards him.

"You can see for yourself."

He had stared at the folder for a moment, not even wanting to touch it. He didn't believe Yeji. How could Soobin be capable of that? Choi Soobin? But now that she had given him this file which she touted as proof for her claims? At this point, Yeonjun had started to feel his anxiety and doubt loom over him before slowly reaching for the file.

Yeonjun cried even harder on the floor of his apartment as he remembered this specific part of the conversation: how he had completely shattered when he opened that folder and how it had felt like the papers were stinging his skin as he flipped through each one.

Police reports. Confirmations that Soobin had been charged with domestic battery and assault. Pictures of her bloody nose along with scratch marks on her arms and legs. It was all there. All the proof to back up the allegations.

Yeonjun had barely finished going over all of the papers when he had dropped the file back onto the desk in disgust, stomach churning and thoughts raging in his head. He hadn't remembered what else Yeji had said after that. It had all been muffled and drowned out by the shock that plagued Yeonjun's mind.
