As soon as Yeonjun stepped into Soobin's apartment, he felt like had made it home. He'd been there many times in the past few weeks, but this was the first time he felt like he was genuinely welcome there now that him and Soobin had stopped fighting and made up. It seemed like there was a different aura to the whole apartment now even though nothing had changed within it.

"You're not too drunk, right? You seem fine," Soobin asked as he closed the door behind him and inspected Yeonjun.

"Just a little buzzed. It kinda died down a little from the adrenaline of almost getting my ass handed to me earlier," Yeonjun joked as he sat down at the kitchen table.

"Same for me, honestly," Soobin stated with a chuckle. He was slightly buzzed considering he had danced a lot more than he drank throughout the night. He crossed over the kitchen with a smile to his liquor cabinet and opened it before turning to face Yeonjun. "Do you want a few more drinks then?"

"Um... nah," Yeonjun said as he looked over his selection. "I think I'm good for tonight."

Soobin nodded and turned back to his cabinet, pulling down a bottle and serving himself in a glass. He didn't want to drink for the purpose of getting drunk. No, he just needed an extra gulp (or two) to calm himself down. After all, he hadn't been around Yeonjun like this in a long while, and he was really nervous about what could happen.

Some part of him wanted to hang out with Yeonjun as normally as possible for the rest of the night before perhaps falling asleep next to him, but he was still aware that the situation could easily go in a different direction, and some part of him also wanted this too. This was what he was most anxious about.

Doing anything tonight... it would be rushing, right? This is Day 1, Soobin, he thought to himself.

His mind became preoccupied with these thoughts as he downed the half-glass he had poured himself in one go before setting it down and making a face at the sharp feel of it in his throat.

Meanwhile, Yeonjun was just as nervous. I mean... they were alone... and they'd been drinking...

It was Day 1 of easing back into good graces with his lover, so he understood if Soobin didn't want to jump back into anything too quickly. After all, the entire night Soobin had barely flirted with him other than holding his hand every now and then and making an endearing comment one or two times. Soobin had kept it pretty platonic, much to his disappointment. He wanted nothing more than to kiss Soobin and hold him in his arms and be... well... non-platonic.

"Ice cream then?" Soobin asked before clearing his throat, causing Yeonjun to gasp in excitement as his previous train of thought was cut off. Soobin couldn't help but smile at how easily excited Yeonjun got over this.

"Oh god, yes," Yeonjun replied as he saw Soobin walk over to his refrigerator. "Please tell me you have good flavors."

"If you're talking about mint chocolate... then yes," Soobin said with a face of disgust as he pulled the ice cream out of the freezer. "I still have this tub of it in here. It's still good."

"I'm surprised you never threw it out," Yeonjun said as he grabbed it from Soobin's hands.

"Yeah well, I think I held on too much to the idea that you would... you know..." Soobin said as he pulled out his own tub and two spoons. "...that everything would go back to normal soon. And that you'd be back to eat the rest of it."

Yeonjun felt his heart almost burst at this admission from Soobin, and he couldn't help but smile like an idiot as Soobin handed him a spoon.

"Good call," he said as he kicked off his shoes, walked over, and plopped down on the couch. Soobin smiled back and did the same before sitting next to him as Yeonjun started to eat his ice cream. "Also surprised you never tried it once either. It was just sitting there and you didn't even get curious?"
