AGENT'S POV
After making sure I was not being followed, I made my way to the agreed meeting place, where I would figure out what Sammy had to say - hopefully even find out some info on the lady who sent me the file. It worked out in my favour anyway; I knew that Devin would have his guys searching for me. I figured that at the very least, I also needed to share what had transpired so far and re-evaluate my options... but no, I was wrong. As I pulled up to the site, I saw Sammy leaning against her car, which had tinted windows. She drove up to where I had pulled up, rolled down her window and said, “I know you have questions, and want answers, but save them till we get where we are going.” Then she drove away. I followed in my rental. We drove through fields and out of the city into a higher class neighborhood.
Eventually we ended up at a huge mansion that looked more like a castle. The gate opened and we drove through up the driveway until we got to the front door.
A tall guy in a suit said “Follow me, please.” We walked down hallways to an elevator that took us to the top floor.
The guy showed us to a huge door which had a keypad, entered the code and motioned for us to come in. He walked up to another door, knocked and walked away. I debated following him but a woman's voice interrupted my thought and told us to come in. We stepped into a boardroom with computers, laptops, and office chairs spread, and a boardroom table in the very centre of the room. Even a flat screen TV sat mounted on the wall.
Behind a laptop was a woman typing; she didn't look up
“Take a seat. Ms Smith will be here shortly.”
Who do you guys think Ms Smith is
and why would she want to see them.
Is she their boss
How can she help
Why are they here
