Flash Back

DOC'S POV

From what the staff, and my crew had told me I felt like I recognized Raheem from somewhere. It gave me a headache trying to put the pieces together. My crew had cleared the room except for Jack, who was now sitting, on the opposite end of my table. I wasn't tuned in to what he was saying until I finally realised from where I remembered that agent who had just been in here. We used to be friends.

He was a great friend, I didn't have many, but he was a good listener, always on time, never seemed to get into trouble, a team player also  helpful and respectful plus didn't always associate with others, not because he was scared but because he was shy. He was one of those guys that did everything by himself and always acted like not having real friends didn't bother him. It only drove him to succeed.

Still, I felt sorry for him.

But that never stopped him from being who he was.

He always strived to be a Chef but I guessed that didn't work out.

Cause now he was a secret agent not just any agent my former friend. In my mind we were friends but in reality not.

We were total opposites.

I was a cool guy

I always wondered what happened to him. The last time we spoke was when we were young and taken different paths

I knew now that the agency had sent him after me, my days as a crime boss were numbered if I didn't get to him first. I also realized that,

Old friend or not he was now my enemy.

I had to at least try to bribe him, maybe we could come to a mutual agreement? I knew it was a long shot  If only he wasn't so committed to his job.

I mean how would that conversation start. Hey, I was your old buddy, but now I'm a criminal and I need you to look the other way.

From what Ray had told me he was a top agent. He was the guy you called when you wanted someone caught,it was as simple as that.

He also said that the original founder of the agency was back and determined to bring me down once and for all.

They had formed a task force and he was part of it.

I was playing from behind.

I also figured out that if he had the skills to easily get into a hangout spot for known criminals and act like he belonged -which he didn't- also meant he could possibly end my empire, and investments.

He was a threat and like anyone who threatened to take me down eventually learned this THIS IS MY CITY DON'T MESS WITH THE BOSS.

They had to be dealt with. It was pretty plain and simple.

But first I had to deal with a prominent threat. Ray since you are no longer of use to me you have to disappear …. permanently.

I shot him where he sat and yelled," CLEAN UP THE MESS NOW."

AGENT'S POV

I decided to look for a cheap cash only motel. I didn't like to leave a paper trail when working, it was  much easier to pay cash, where they didn't ask questions. If I had to use a hotel I would but now this would have to do.

Since well, I wasn't here on vacation.

Upon entering my room I took a quick hot shower, changed and left.

When I got back to Jimmy's I remembered the guy who I was chasing nicknamed Doc, was my buddy from my past. To me, we were close but not close as friends. Last I remembered he wanted to be a businessman. But I never thought it would be this business.

That didn't change anything though, he had to be brought down.

Either way I never let my personal feelings affect how I worked. Never.

There had been a red pick truck tailing me for the past couple minutes. The trick was to act normal, I pulled a right at the intersection then hung a left turn at the corner, which led to a dead end.

I had lost them momentarily so I quickly exited the car, leaving the doors open. I grabbed my gun and hid in a field that was next to where I parked. I waited in the tall grass which hadn't been mowed in weeks, trying to keep as still as possible.

I noticed that they were two  guys who wore suits and shades with guns and ear pieces,  approaching the rental car. They looked around having not found me called for backup to help search the field. I had a choice to make either wait for their reinforcements to arrive or take them out.

There would be no way back if I fired.

From past experiences being in shootouts I knew that they could escalate quickly.

I decided to take them out before the situation got out of hand. One guy had his back to me facing the car which was his mistake. I fired  a head shot. His partner scrambled trying to aim his pistol. He wasn't sure where the shot came from but he went down as well Bang.

As easy as that I decided to do a quick look around in their truck to see what I found then leave.

I found that they were some of Doc's crew. I could hear more  guys were only a few minutes out.

As I was done I heard cars pulling up I immediately Commando crawled out and back to my motel.

To change I still had to meet Sammy.

DOC'S POV

After what seemed like forever but nearly 20 mins after the fact. My guys told me that the plan to eliminate agent Raheem went wrong. I  smashed the phone into the ground, told my driver to take me to the site now!! After what seemed like the perfect plan to ambush the agent who I had clearly underestimated which won't happen again. My guys explained what happened. Since he clearly must be from out of town I decided to post guys at every hotel and motel with instructions to let me know if or when he showed up.

In the meantime I turned my attention to his car starting   to search for clues. But as I suspected they were none.

I needed a plan  before everything I worked hard to build was taken. Well played Agent well played I chuckled.

I now knew that I had to be extra vigilant and one of two things BOY'S I screamed I want you to take care of any loose ends. Anyone seen talking about or heard mentioning the agency will be taken care of. I pointed where Ray had stood understood yes boss.

Check the motels and hotels I want to know if he talked to anyone, where he stayed and also find out the name and identity of the two mystery agents and any others working with him.

If found let me know immediately yes boss.
