Chapter 7

JOINING FORCES

Ms Smith's POV

I made my way to the boardroom. Jakemy butler had told me that they arrived and were waiting. The team was assembled, it was time to formally introduce myself and get the ball rolling.

The Agency was in the top part of the mansion, living quarters fully furnished were located in the bottom half with a library, which would be thier's after they joined. It wasn't that I didn't trust them but after the agency was corrupted I felt it was best to keep the real agency known to a selected group of individuals.

I opened the door and greeted them 

"Good Morning everyone."

“Morning ma’am,” my IT specialist Jenny and the two agents said. 

Without wasting anymore time I cut to the chase.

“You have been handpicked by yours truly based on your history and experience. Also, you are the ones that had refused to be part of the corrupted, to be part of a badass crime-fighting agency that's goal is to take out criminals. Our first target is Devin Omar Cruise who has never been brought to justice.”

I pause for a bit and glance at each face looking right back at me, “I started this to track and bring down elusive criminals who either law enforcement couldn't track or always seemed to have luck on their side in court.” 

“Our goal is also to clean our image which I'm sure you are aware was tarnished.” I sense their determination to fight back as each face twists in rage. 

“I have regained full control of it and I assure you it won't happen again. As you can see we are high-tech and equipped with the best facilities needed to catch the big fish.”

 "Welcome to the real agency!"

“From this moment on, this is our base of operations. Living quarters are located downstairs. Allow me to introduce the others.” 

THE TEAM

Alicia Smith founder, agent and a successful businesswoman. 29 years of age. A funny, serious, and open-minded lady whose presence could be felt in the room the moment she entered.

 Jenny is our tech specialist, a serious, focused young lady who is just 23 years old.

 James, an honest and fair guy, just 30, is our white hat. As in, he is a good hacker who has worked with well-reputed security companies

Agent Raheem, one of the best agents in the field who has taken down some big fishes.

Director Sammy aged 59 with his West Indian accent and curly hair, attired casually is a little less experienced in the field but is a great team player. He also has the potential to be a great leader.

Jimmy is our legal director. He comes from a small town. He always changed the story about where he was from when asked. A middle-aged guy who is still fit and has also kept his mind sharp by reading and researching.

Amanda and Frank, a married couple in their late twenties from the big city,   were in charge of security. They had met through mutual friends and were both ex-cops. 

They took their job very seriously.

AGENTS RAHEEM’s POV

 “Nice to meet everyone." 

Since we are a team I shall bring you up to speed on what has happened so far. I briefed them up on what has transpired. I also mentioned that DOC and I used to know each other that we had not spoken since he said he wanted to go into business, which was years ago. I also pointed out that we aren't friends anymore.

 For the first time in a long time I felt as if I belonged. Like it is where I was meant to be.

Devin "Ready or not, it won't be long now before justice prevails."
