"Mommy!" Hollis called from down the hall.
"Yes?" I called back.
"Can we go to the park?" She asked running into my room.
"Of course!" I laughed picking her up. I grabbed my phone and tell Luke we're going to the park. He reads it, but doesnt respond. I put Hollis in her car seat and get into the front. We drive down a few blocks to the park. I get out and let her out as she runs away from me.
"MOMMY! Come push me!" She screams, I laugh and shake my head. I walk over to her as she's trying to get into the baby swing. I pick her up an put her in it and started pushing her. A car pulled up behind mine as a tall blonde boy got out. I laugh at him and smile. He walks over to us as I stop pushing Hollis.
"Hey." He smiles pressing a kiss to my cheek.
"Hi." I laugh at him taking Hollis out of the swing. He sat down on a bench as I placed Hollis in between us.
"Listen Holli, I'm sorry for what happened last night. I didn't mean to hurt you. I love you, I would never try to hurt you." He said as she nodded.
"I should of listened to you, I'm sorry." She cried throwing her arms around Luke.
"Aww baby you're going to make me cry if you cry anymore." He said sniffling.
"Luke, grow up." I laughed swatting at his arm.
"Ready to go? Want to get some ice cream?" He asked Hollis as she nodded widely.
"Here, take my car, her car seat's in there." I said as I hande him my keys. He slowly handed my his keys unsure of what to do. "Luke, give me the damn keys." I mumbled yanking them from his hand.
"I'll see you later, ready Holli?" He asked. I walked to Luke's car and unlocked the doors. I hopped in and started the car. I backed up careful not hitting anything and sped down the street. As I got home I went to tidy the kitchen. I went to grab the knife that was in the sink, as I got it, it slipped and stabbed me in the hand.
"Fuck!" I screamed dialling Lukes number.
"Hey." He said.
"I'm going to the hospital." I said wrapping a towel tightly around my had.
"What?" He shouted.
"I accidentally cut myself. I'll see you there." I said grabbing the keys to mine and Lukes car. I got in the car and sped down the road onto the main road. I tried my best not to speed getting to the hospital. As soon as I got there Luke and Hollis were sitting in the waiting room, Luke biting his nails and tapping his foot, Hollis just crying.
"How may I help you?" The lady asked.
"Um, hi, I'm Renia and I accidentally cut my hand." I said unwrapping the towel.
"Okay Renia, we'll get you back her ASAP." She smile an I mumbled a thank you. I went to sit next to Luke.
"How you doing baby?" He asked rubbing my thigh.
"I've been better." I shrugged.
"Renia?" The lady called for me. I got up and walked to her, "follow me." I did as I was told and she brought me into a back room.
"Do I need stitches?" I asked as they nodded. I rolled my eyes. Great.
