Hinata was fidgeting with his fingers as he waited for Atsumu to open the door. A large and warm hand grabbed his hands. He looked to his side and saw Kuroo, giving him a reassuring smile. It was as if he was telling him that "no matter what happens, I'm here to face it with you" and that made Hinata calm down.
Hinata told Kuroo every detail of their argument and from what Kuroo thinks, it was both of their faults. But with the aftermath of this argument, one of them has to apologize first so Kuroo suggested going to the Miya twins' house to apologize.
And so here they are, in front of the Miyas' house, waiting for one of the twins to open the door and let them in. Hinata was hoping that Osamu would open the door. He was still too nervous to meet with Atsumu.
Luck was on his side that day.
"Oh? Shoyo?" Osamu raised a brow. "And Kuroo. How pleasant."
Kuroo could tell Osamu was being dishonest with his words. He just smiled at him despite the cold welcome.
"Who is it?" A voice from inside was heard.
Hinata tensed up when he heard Atsumu's voice. He backed up a bit, having the thought to run away. However, Kuroo's hands were still holding his and that made him remember that he's not alone. Kuroo's here with him. He can't back away from this.
"Shoyo?"
The orange haired took a deep breath. Atsumu walked closer to the door with an upset look on his face. Atsumu looked at Osamu. His twin just gave him a look and he squinted his eyes at him. The two were like having a conversation telepathically.
"Atsumu, please listen. I won't take long so please listen to what I have to say." Hinata started. Atsumu sighed and crossed his arms. He nodded and Hinata gave him a small smile.
"I'm so, so sorry for not attending your game. I had the tickets, Kuroo even let me attend your game and beared no ill will. I wanted to be there for you because even though I know I'm not your boyfriend, I'm still your best friend. And as a best friend, I shouldn't have forgotten to be there for you. I'm so, so sorry for being such a terrible friend. And I hope that you'll be able to forgive me for my mistakes."
Somewhere along those words, Atsumu started to cry. He didn't even bother to wipe them away. He could feel Hinata's honesty when he told him that he was sorry for not being a good best friend. But he felt hurt when Hinata was apologizing for it.
"No. Hinata, you're a good friend and you're the best friend I could ever have. I'm sorry I lashed out on you. I was so angry and I should've listened to you, understood your problems. I shouldn't have just said you were avoiding me and left like an asshole. I'm the one who should be sorry, I'm the one who should apologize to you. You have no wrong in this."
The two friends had tears in their eyes as they apologized to each other and admitted their faults and they both forgave each other for their wrongs. They hugged and it was one of the best feeling the two could feel.
Making up with your best friend after a fight, a wonderful feeling isn't it?
Thinking back what Osamu had told him, Atsumu realized that he had been stupid for not thinking about Hinata's feelings.

"Maybe it is your fault. Maybe it's his. Both of you are at fault." Osamu said, sipping his coffee.
"I'm not asking you to tell me a riddle. I'm asking you if it's my fault."
Osamu sighed and muttered something he hoped Atsumu wasn't able to hear. He looked at his twin dead in the eye.
