"Anastasia Collins eats shit."
I sigh as I stare at my desk, frowning at the words that are hastily and messily scraped in. I always think of the same words in the novel Carrie by Stephen King. I've made a point about that to Ashton Irwin, seeing as he's the one who loves to make those notes for me. But he says the same thing every time; "Oh, I know, Ana. That's the point, see. I know you love that book. And having read it, I had an idea."
I don't let it bother me, although I do get quite sick of it. Luke sees them too. He's always worried about me, since that night he kissed me, he's been so protective of me. But other than that, he's been acting as if were best friends.
"Anastasia Collins?" My teacher calls my name, and he sounds so done with everything. "Is there something interesting about your desk or are just not listening?"
I stutter a bit before swallowing and mustering the quiet words, "There's writing on my desk.."
I'm so quiet that snickers around the room are shared and Sir sighs. "Can you read it please. Loud voice, please, Ana."
"Um.." I bite my lip and look around. "A-Anastasia Collins.. E-eats shit."
The class bursts out in laughter and I hide my face in my hands. When I look up, Sir is red with anger. "Anastasia, watch your damn language!"
"B-but sir!" I actually talk back at him, frowning. "That's what the writing said!"
"I don't care!" the rude old man snaps. "You swore, and you've got detention."
I furrow my eyebrows and stand quickly, pushing out my chair and scowling. "Fuck you. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck!" and with that, I storm out of the classroom to the front office.

"Ana."
It's Luke, yet again. "Hi, Luke."
I sit in the office, waiting for the principal to come out and listen to what I have to say. Luke has just come in and sat beside me. "Why are you in here?" I whisper.
"Back chatting the teacher. You?"
"Swearing." I mumble. "Temper. Back chatting. You name it."
Luke chokes on his own spit, staring at me with wide eyes. "Y-you?! You were sassing the teacher? Oh my god.."
I feel quite annoyed, fed up with people looking at me as little innocent Ana. "For gods sake, Luke! Just because I don't ditch school and go to senior parties doesn't mean I'm innocent and perfect!" I furrow my eyebrows and turn my attention away from the shocked boy beside me.
"Ana? Anastasia Collins?" Mrs Lilith calls from the front desk and she smiles at me. She's always been kind to me, and I'm so grateful.
"Yes, Miss." I rise from my seat, only to have my wrist grabbed by Luke.
"Ana, I'm sorry." he pulls me down gently and kisses me on the cheek, smiling softly at me. I try to keep my demeanour angry and hurt, but it's hard when you're looking down at such a goofball.
"It's okay, Luke. My temper was just running thin." A sudden surge of confidence runs through me and I lean down to kiss him swiftly on the lips. He looks shocked, but kisses back.
--
"Miss!" I frown. "I didn't intentionally swear! Mr Harrison just overreacted. He told me to read what was on the desk, and is said "Anastasia Collins Eats Shit.""
Mrs Lilith smiles softly at me and pats my back, causing a sharp pain to go down my spine. "Okay, Ana. You may go now."
"Thank you."
