As soon as Alexander went home, he locked himself in his bedroom and sat down in his bed. He needed a distraction to help him calm down. He got his laptop and started looking through his recent searches.
Soon, a certain website caught his attention: StudyWithOthers.com. He quickly filled up the information to make his account. After scrolling for a long time on the recommended, he saw someone called John Laurens. He checked what he was like and decided that he was a pretty good study partner.
After sending a request, he accepted right away.
John: Hi Alexander! So, you're 12 right?
Alexander: Yeah, I am.
John: Nice, I'm 12 too!
Alexander: Well, hi John! So, since we're in the same grade, why don't we start reviewing one subject, which one would you want?
John: History! It's my favorite.
Alexander: Sure!
Alexander smiled to himself knowing that he made a new friend. After a few hours of studying (and 30 minutes of eating fried chicken), he fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Aaron was in his room laying down, thinking of what happened to him that day.
-FLASHBACK-
As Alexander left the classroom, Aaron sat down, sighing. He heard talking outside, but didn't bother since he was lost in his thoughts.
Soon, the door opened and Aaron looked at the door. He saw Thomas, Andre, and someone. Andre stopped talking and turned over to Aaron. The other two looked over to him as well. Aaron just looked at them and went back to what he was doing.
"Aaron, you're still here?" Andre said, mildly shocked. "Yeah, was just about to leave..." Aaron said in a low voice, getting up and getting his bag. "Hey. Once again, thanks. Y'know, you seem to be a close friend of Alexander's." Thomas said, trying to make Aaron stay for a little bit longer. "Sure, close. Look, it's nice meeting you all but I really need to go. Alexander is going to give me a long lecture." Aaron coldly said.
As he was about to leave, the person whom he doesn't know blocked the door saying "Well, you see, since we really appreciate you not voting for Alex-" "Would you like to sit with us during lunch? The debate table always fight- or er, debate" Thomas said, interrupting his friend.
What could Aaron do? He had to go home, so he just accepted, learnt all their names (Thomas Jefferson, John Andre, and James Madison), and rushed back home.
-End of Flashback-
Aaron just stayed where he was in his bed and slowly drifted into sleep.
