Adolpha smiled at herself as she swished the brush along the canvas, aware of Caius' staring at her every so often from his own painting. They had been at it for hours and Adolpha had repainted the same patch five times- wondering how it was possible that Caius wasn't finished with his yet. Truthfully, she had tried her very best but she was no artist and Caius was sure to soon work that out.

"I am done," Caius announced and Adolpha sighed in relief if she was given any more time to work on her painting; she'd end up adding some pointless things- like devil horns maybe. The thought made her smile. "You go first"

"Me? Why me?" she pouted and he winked.

"Because clearly, when I show you mine- you will be too blown away to form coherent sentences." Caius shrugged and she stared at him for a long moment before clicking her tongue, eyes rolling unintentionally. "Adolpha" he started from where he was assessing his painting. "I realise I promised to be all gentlemanly and wait until marriage but if you roll your eyes at me again, I will be forced to explore some punishment techniques right here on this floor." he pointed downwards, face completely calm and she bloomed a brilliant red despite how much she tried to force it down.

"Keep it in your pants Mario Kart." she hissed and he smirked at how much he had gotten to her in a single sentence. The wolf sighed and turned her painting around in a ta-da gesture. For a long second, Caius did not react- he merely stared with unblinking eyes before he laughed at the top of his lungs, startling her so much that she nearly toppled her pot of water off the table, the brushes shuddering from her jolt. It was the loudest laugh she had ever heard from Caius and she was instantly addicted to the music of it.

"What the f-"

"Okay okay, don't be nasty. I'm not a professional." she cut him off and he coughed to stop his laughter.

"Darling... What on earth is that supposed to be?" he asked much more conservatively.

"...It's... it's you" she peeped uncomfortably, eyes scanning over her 'work of art'.

"Um... I see that now" he lied. "Why am I yellow?"

"Because making skin colour is hard! I was going for a Simpsons theme." she pouted, instantly turning her painting away from him as he laughed again. "I think it's great, we should stick it in the entrance hall for all the guests."

"Yes because if the great deadly vampires don't scare them away, that certainly will" he chuckled to himself again, shaking his head and there was so much happiness in his eyes at that moment as they stood in his 'painting room'. Truth be told, Adolpha didn't know how they had ended up there but in light of their 'engagement', they were spending as much time with one another as physically possible.

"Alright Picasso, I showed you mine... Show me yours" she instructed, crossing her arms tightly over her chest and he hummed to himself, eyes scanning over her hungrily which made her frown. Then he turned the painting to her and she swallowed. Of course, it was perfect. As in awe she was, she also wanted desperately to pretend to hate it. Caius had done a marvellous job of recreating her in paints. And he was waiting for a reaction from her stony face. "Okay, whatever you win"

"Do you like it?" he chuckled and she walked closer to it, eyes scanning every inch of it carefully- all to find that it was perfect. Of course, it was.

"It's beautiful. I think you drew it through rose coloured glasses"

"You're beautiful, Adolpha." he hummed and the second he said it, the temperature in the room seemed to skyrocket. Somewhere between the heat and building tension, their eyes met and Caius swallowed before he was across the room in an instant, grabbing her easily and hitching her up into his arms. Her legs instantly clamped around his waist as her hands moved to tangle in his hair and their mouths claimed one another. "You're beautiful" He partially growled as he slammed them into the wall- reducing force at the last moment when he remembered that she was only human. Back braced against the wall, she was comfortable in his arms- knowing he wouldn't drop her.

"What happened to waiting?"

"There are a lot of things we can do in the meantime love." he breathed into her neck and she involuntarily moaned as he worked his lips against her- toward her collarbone easily. "Or maybe I am playing again"

"P-playing?" she stuttered out as he continued to kiss down her neck. All coherent thought seemed to turn into mush when his lips lingered upon her flesh and she could do nothing but loop her fingers tightly into his hair- knowing that it would do no physical damage to him.

"You and I like our games, Dolcezza" he purred and even though she had no idea what the word meant, it sounded so strangely beautiful from his lips. Adolpha spoke Spanish and a little bit of French but Italian was something she never thought she'd need... Until now. There were, however, a few things she could say.

"I only like the games with you, Amore Mio" she breathed and he pulled back in shock, looking into her eyes for a long moment before attacking her lips again, holding her impossibly closer. For now, that heat was enough.
