Adolpha ran a hand over her face with a sigh as she reentered her bedroom after a long day of phone calls to the other packs. Slowly but surely, they were filling them in on the new dynamic between the wolves and the vampires and the Children of the Moon were entering a time of celebration, for having survived the 'war'-- as they put it. The second she approached the bed, she frowned. Laid out across the bed with a beautiful red dress and for a long moment, she just stared at it.

"Caius?" it was a short dress, though somehow managed to retain some modesty and class. Receiving no response from her new 'fiance'; the werewolf lifted the dress and found a piece of paper on the bed that had previously blended in with the crisp white sheet below. Lifting it up, she was happy to find the words of Caius sprawled across the page, though he was clipped as ever; Garage. 6pm. Was all it said and she sighed to herself though happily got dressed into the dress, marvelling in the feel of the satin against her flesh.

Sliding into some black heels and taming her hair easily, allowing it to flow in natural curls down her back, she dusted her face with makeup and felt oddly nervous. What was this? A date? The feeling of nervousness only increased over the next half an hour as she waited for the time to arrive. He had been so sweet recently, albeit playful and teasing, but he had been warm and inviting and she could only hope for that side of him to continue.

When 6pm finally came around, indicated by the clock on the wall, she proceeded to the garage which she could now easily locate. When she had first arrived at the castle, it was like a fortress and she didn't have a clue where anything was. She was slowly but surely getting used to it and it made her smile when the cool of the underground garage finally kissed her skin, indicating that she had found it.

The room was ridiculously large and relatively dark, illuminated by only a few fluorescent safety lights. The doors opened onto a slope that proceeded sharply upwards to the driveway which was wide enough to fit three cars easily side-by-side. If not for the warmth the castle provided, the kiss of familiarity, the garage itself would set the nerves racing through her.

"Caius?"

"You look stunning, Tesoro" his voice breathed and she whipped around to find him standing there. The wolf leader couldn't help the grin that split across her cheeks when her eyes landed on him. He was gorgeous and currently dressed in an all-black three-piece suit, shoes shiny as ever. She had never seen him in anything else, just suits of varying shades.

"I'm going to need to find a dictionary." she giggled. "What's with the Italian all of a sudden?"

"I am searching for new names. Scooby-Doo and Dog won't do anymore" he winked and she laughed as he gently took her hand to guide her through the hundreds of cars.

"Where are we going?"

"It's a secret" he winked and she pouted though allowed him to open the backdoor of a shiny SUV for her. Snuggling comfortably into the expensive interior, she was soon joined by Caius on her other side and her eyes whipped around to face the driver.

"Hi, Alec"

"Ma'am" he nodded respectfully, he was the only guard- besides his sister- that treated her as what she was, the future wife of their king. And she couldn't help but find it slightly cute. Adolpha was sure that Caius had enlisted Alec as their driver tonight because he wouldn't say anything the whole journey. Alec was like a statue as he swiftly pulled out of the garage though it was slightly unnerving to see him drive.

"I thought" Caius began as they whizzed down the driveway, his hand linking with hers gently- the pale contrasting her warm tan beautifully. "That my fiance should actually get a few dates before she's forced to marry me" he winked and she smiled gently at his words, resting her head softly on his suited shoulder and he pressed a gentle kiss into her hair.

"I have a request... And... You can say no" she frowned. "I just-- It's the only thing I am going to ask."

"What is it?" he encouraged gently which was one thing she rarely got to see from him but he knew from the look in her eyes that it was important.

"I always thought that Conri would be the one to walk me down the aisle... That he would be there" her eyes watered at the mere thought and she closed them to take a few calming breaths. Patiently waiting for her to continue, Caius continued to caress her hand softly where it rested in his lap. "...And I-- I know that it isn't possible now. But, I have a different request. It'll make me feel like he's there." she swallowed.

"Anything, My Love" Caius breathed and she reached into the front of her dress, her delicate fingers clasping around a chain that lay there and pulling the necklace to reveal what hung on the end. Looped onto the soft chain was a ring, one that was rather familiar to Caius though he couldn't fathom why.

"This ring... It... It's a Blackwood family heirloom, it has been the wedding ring for the Blackwood men all these years. It was my fathers, and his fathers..." she sighed "In my family, parents don't often live long enough to see children get married. This was Conri's wedding ring, and I know that it's the man's right and a Blackwood ring but I'm the only one left. And I will be the last one" she swallowed, looking down. "I know that you will have to wear your wedding ring forever and that you don't like wolves but... But could you...?"

"I would be honoured to wear that ring on my finger as a symbol of my love for you, Adolpha. For the rest of eternity," he answered honestly, pale hand gently lifting the ring though now removing it from her neck, it would fit him- that much was certain. It was silver with the Blackwood coat of arms stamped into it.

"Thank you" she breathed and pulled him close, pressing a kiss deeply onto his lips- to which he returned with intensity.
