Caius tapped his fingers lightly on the arm of the chair as he waited for her to return, a gesture of impatience. It had only been two and a half days and he already missed her, it was agonising and all he wanted was to draw her into his arms and hold her there forever. That was why, when the door opened and his red eyes fell upon her beautiful face, he couldn't help but fly across the room and drag her into his hold. Adolpha melted into her fiance, holding on for dear life even as he swung her around slightly, her feet no longer meeting the ground. They said nothing but the vampire coven that waltzed in behind her were noticeably shocked by the interaction as they watched it.
"Ahh, Dear Cullens" Aro clapped excitably, like a child in a sweet store as he walked eagerly toward them, with almost as much excitement as Caius had had toward Adolpha. "And you have brought the wolves, how utterly marvellous" his eyes seemed to sparkle like rubies, a power-hungry stare as he excitably accepted the handshake Carlisle offered.
"Hello Aro, thank you for having us." Carlisle smiled tensely as he stood within the Throne room. It had been an exceptionally long time since he had spent any sort of prolonged period of time in the Italian castle, but from his first step through the halls, something felt different. As he listened, he could hear laughter, it seemed to foreign in the place he knew for its darkness. But when he saw the way Caius and Adolpha interacted- it all became normal. The Blue wolf pack and the Volturi's all lived there, together.
"Kurt" a second voice squealed and they all turned as a blonde vampire threw herself excitably at her imprint- the Blue wolf beta grumbled slightly, sounding winded before he responded with intensity, holding onto his girlfriend for dear life as they all grinned. A few days felt like an eternity when you were away from the person you loved.
"It seems we've had another imprinting in the family" Aro clapped out a cheer when he finally dropped Carlisle's hand and everyone was noticeably shocked when they saw his grin- he'd called them <>a family which meant one thing- they were telling the truth all along, the wolves and the vampires had finally put their differences aside and that was the best thing any of them had heard in months. The Quileute pack and their imprints all huddled closer to the Blue pack Alpha and they knew that everything was going to be okay. Leah and Chann had united the two packs which meant one thing undeniably- The Quileute's would fight to the death for the Blue's now, which meant that they would fight for the Volturi.
"I'm so glad that we can all be here, together" Adolpha phrased calmly and there were uncomfortable smiles all around- the most unlikely enemies had finally become allies and it felt exhilarating. They were powerful.
"Perfect!" Heidi clapped as she strutted forward with Chelsea at her arm. "Which means we can get back to wedding prep! You little lady, have a dress to try on!"
"It's here?" Adolpha stuttered out nervously, uncertain at the knowledge that her wedding gown had finally finished her alterations- that just made it so much more nerve-wracking though when she turned her doe eyes to Caius, she was met with only a smile. The room at large seemed shocked by the soft, affectionate interaction from Caius Volturi, the ruthless king though simultaneously, they were glad to see some humanity from him.
"It's here" Chelsea reassured. "Which means I need my bridesmaids. Lady Athena, have you seen Sulpicia?"
"In the gardens" Athenodora returned with an absentminded hum, not really paying any attention as she stared upon Kurt's face.
"Jane" Chelsea beckoned. "Kurt, Chann. Letsa go my friends" she faced an Italian accent that she didn't usually have and when the others laughed, the kings glared.
"Can we see?" Alice questioned, eyes wide and warm with excitement and Heidi grinned as she nodded along.
"Of course, we could do with some help, there's so much to do" she cheered and Adolpha huffed at the idea, she just wanted the wedding to be over and done with.
"When we escape this, we'll introduce you to the other wolves" Kurt promised the Quileutes who had an assortment of uncertain nods and timid smiles. That was before they all got dragged away by the wedding planners who were much more determined now- and larger in numbers now that Rosalie and Alice had joined them.
Finally, their army was together, and they had something so incredibly exciting to look forward too. Soon enough, Adolpha Blackwood and Caius Volturi would be joined in holy matrimony under the witness of hundreds of supernatural creatures and the century-long feud between the werewolves and the vampires would come to an official end. It was a time for joy, though equally, a time for fear because soon enough, they would have a vengeful army on their tails...
