Raven Roth, Garfield Logan, Kori Anders, Richard Grayson, Victor Stone, and Karen Beecher grew up in the same neighborhood since childhood. As a matter of fact, Raven and Garfield were direct neighbors, living on the same cul-de-sac, so they were the of best friends from the start.
Their mothers Arella Roth, Marie Logan, along with Deneen Beacher grew up as best of friends as well, so the trio; Raven, Gar, and Karen, would always have play dates with their children from the time they could remember. Now teenagers, the group of six attended the same high school, all in their senior year, preparing for graduation.
Raven's thoughts consumed her as she briefly strolled down memory lane, gazing upon the overcast in the clouds...
The Sunday bar-b-q's, birthday parties, Halloween trick-or treat outings, Thanksgiving gatherings, Christmas parties, and fourth of July celebrations ran through her mind as she reminisced, wiping her reddened eyes.
Senior year was supposed to be a time to remember! The bridge that held childhood on one end and the next journey in life on the other. This was the time to play juvenal pranks on fellow students, cram for midterms to impress chosen potential colleges, and having the time of their lives before adulthood. However, this year was different for Raven.
Her mother, Arella Roth was killed in an auto accident, but instead of drowning in sorrow, Raven suspected the entire ordeal to be rather suspicious.
Arella had just recently gotten a complete tune up on the family's BMW, so everything should've been in peak condition. Why has this tragedy taking place? As she watched the funeral home seal her mother's plot in the mausoleum, she couldn't shake the weird feeling that she had.
Garfield clung on to his best friend's shoulder as she silently sobbed, knowing that she'd never feel her mother's touch, get her advice, comb her hair as if she was still small, smell her honeysuckle fragrant sent, or talk to her about... nothing, which was everything... ever again! Raven was so blinded by hurt that she didn't even hear the final words spoken by the officiator, but from the expressions on the guests' faces, the service was quite lovely.
After all the attendees left, Raven rested her head on Gar's shoulder. Her tears flowed uncontrollably, while they both just stood there, silently staring at the well-dressed, marbled cream-colored placard that only held the scribed words of her beloved mother's name and lifeline.
"What am I going to do now?" Raven said so quietly, almost as if she'd whispered it. Her wavery, soft, sorrowful words stung Gar's heart and soul.
He hated this for his best friend. He too experienced these emotions a few years back when his own mother died from Cancer. He was so... broken... that Raven and Mrs. Roth helped him come to a peaceful place of acceptance for his own loss.

FanfictionThe Titans are everyday normal people with more problems than they can handle... or can they? This is going to be a bit different, but not so much as I've read some BBRae that had all parties involved as normal everyday people. I hope you enjoy :D *...
