7. The Rose

"Jin, catch!" Jimin was standing from his desk in position to throw the styrofoam football to Jin. They were throwing the ball around the room killing time, when Jin heard what he said he quickly got up and caught it.

"Me me me!" Jungkook then stands from his seat opening his hands wide to catch the ball. Jin turns and throws the football to Jungkook. Right when Jin thought it would land in Jungkooks hands it landed directly in the middle of Ollies desk. Her papers and pencils flung to the floor and Jungkook gulps looking at Ollie scared.

"I've had it!" Ollie shouts slamming her hand on her messed up desk showing authority. "Jungkook, you pick up what fell on the floor.." He snaps her fingers infront of him and he quickly gathers her things. "And this?" She says holding the football that ruined her desk, "This is going into the trash!" And with that she let it fall in her trashbin as she smiled and got back to her desk to finish what she was doing on her computer.

"Seriously Ollie? That cost me $2.99." Jimin says annoyed throwing his hands up.

Jungkook, Jin Hoseok and Amelia groan disappointed turning their seats to go back to work knowing their little recess is over.

Did I care? Not really.. the whole time my eyes were on Taehyungs empty seat. You see, I bought a rose from a florist shop, the prettiest one I could find that reminded me of Taehyung. I took a string and a tag and drew a heart. I even came in early to place it on Taehyungs desk so no-one would know it was me. But now its 10:30 and he hasn't even arrived yet. He didn't call for a sick day either. I sigh pouting just hoping no-one else sees it, I hid it under one of Taehyungs paper as a surprise.

Namjoon goes out of his office with his hands in his pant pockets.

"Did anyone hear anything from Taehyung?" Everyone turns to see Namjoons concerned face. I wish I had an answer, he must've been late.

"If I get a call from him ill tell you straight away." I nod to Namjoon, reassuring him.

"Maybe he left something on his desk that will tell us something?" Hoseok ponders getting up from his desk and slowly making his way over to Taehyungs abandoned desk. Oh no, what will happen if they see the rose? I bite my nails stressed as I watch Hoseok lift the art magazine Taehyung always read to reveal what I didn't want all the co-workers to see. Well, this is ironic. I wanted Taehyung to see the rose but everyone but Taehyung had seen the rose..

When Hoseok saw the rose his eyes widened before looking at me and back at the rose and quickly covering it up with the Magazine again.

"Uh, well- I guess there is nothing on his desk.. oh well.." He says trying to sound disappointed before slowly walking back to his own desk.

"Wait- what about that rose?" Yoongi asks pointed back at Taehyungs desk. Jungkook gets up from his chair and walks over he reached over to the magazine,

"WAIT!" I yell making everyone look at me weirdly I instantly regreted yelling and panic watching Jungkooks hand that was reaching over to lift the magazine. "I mean lets mind our own business you know?" I laugh awkwardly but I dont think that convinced Jungkook because he shrugged at me and then revealed my rose for Taehyung. I groan but that wasnt the reaction that everyone else had.

"Oh my! Taehyung has a secret admirer~!" Jimin sings surprised.

"So adorable!!" Jungkook squeals.

"Who do you think gave it to him?" I ask faking a curious face, listen I am smart enough to pretend I wasn't the one who did it. If I ask it, it will make people believe it wasn't me.

"I dont know.. do any of you guys know someone who gave Taehyung a note?" Namjoon asks looking around the room.

"Well Namjoon, frankly not obviously, if someone did this case would be closed." Jin spoke.
