6. Let's get down to business

For the past days, you've been feeling pretty well. After schools, you meet up with Akaashi and Bokuto as well to grab some snacks from the usual convenience store. You've been a great help to Akaashi by practicing some volleyball techniques with him for his upcoming volleyball nationals. Akaashi was glad he was able to see you from time to time. 

You hum along to the music as you focus on your studies. A knock distracts you as Annie barges in letting you know that mum and dad were calling you. You spot your parents sitting in the dining table, you sensed something was wrong as you take a gulp. As you took a seat, your father starts to talk. 

"I understand that you have been hanging out with Akaashi and the spiky head friend.", he clarifies feeding you some fruits served on the table. 

"Ah you mean Bokuto?", you corrected as you munched away. 

"Yeah him. But you need to remind your self that you are the 3rd year of high school and you need to think about your studies", your father reminded. 

"No matter where and what you want to study or not in the future, we're supporting you." Your mum encourages. 

"Mum...", you felt heart warmed as you were about to get teary. 

"By starting to fix with your maths grades.", she hands you your report marks for Maths.

Ahhh crap...

"We don't expect perfection out of you, but we want to see how much you don't give up and always put your best.", your mother clarifies. 

"You've been excellent with all subject but what's going on with maths?", your father questions. 

"Ah... I'm working on it.", as you sightly chuckle. 

"You see honey. We sent you to a good school for a reason. If we don't see any changes, we'll ban you from going to Akaashi's place.", she strictly states. 

"Mum you got the wrong idea! I'm not there to just play volleyball with Akaashi and Bokuto... Akaashi is tutoring me!", Ah here it goes. I'm lying to my parents. 

"What...? Tutoring you?", your mum questioned. Argh why am I making things even worse!

"Y-yeah! He's really smart he gets really good grades and is on top of his class!", 

"Well I suppose I'll have to talk to Michelle...", your mum speaks her thoughts. 

"By the way, you've been hanging out with Akaashi a lot these days. Are you perhaps... dating him?!", your mother questioned with a shock in surprise as you chocked on your fruit.

"Huh?!! N-no! You got the wrong idea! We're just friends!", you try to ensure that fact as you could see your father's soul about to drift off from his body. 

Annie has no idea what is happening as she continues to enjoy her fruits. 

You swiftly head into your room taking out your phone and started to dial him. You needed to make sure that everything you said was true. 

Akaashi: 

Hello? 

Y/N:
Akaashi! I need your help ASAP!!

Akaashi:

Y/N it's literally 2am...

You see Akaashi opening his blinds to see a grunt tired Akaashi staring up at you from the window. 

Akaashi: 

*sighs* What is it Y/N?

Y/N:

Please tutor me for Maths.

Akaashi:
... No.

Y/N:
Till the end of our entrance exams.

Akaashi:
What?! You're impossible to teach to. 

You were shocked. 

Y/N:

Please! I'll do anything for you!

Akaashi looks up at you seeing you pouting your eyes begging him to let you.

Akaashi:

Anything?

Y/N:
Anything.

Akaashi:
Hmmm alright alright. It's getting late to go to sleep. we'll discuss this tomorrow morning on the way to school.

Y/N:

Okie!! Night owl. 

Akaashi:

Night. 

The next morning you patiently stand in front of his door to greet him with dark eye bag circles under his eyes. 

"Akashi!!! Good Morning!", 

"Hey Y/N.", he responds straight. You could tell he did not get a good night's sleep.

"Here I made you some onigiri! I know it's your favourite!", you cooed trying giving him the bento into his hands. 

Ah, shut up! You're so shy when it comes to I know that very well. You place 2 onigiri's into his school bag. "There.", you smiled. 

"Are you my mother?", he questions bluntly. 

"No no I'm your student sensei!", you played. 

... No utter sound came out as he gave you a straight face. It's like he's with Bokuto all over again. He walks off on his way to the station as you try to catch up with him from behind. 

"Akaashi! I'll really need your help! Please!", you made him stop his footsteps.  

"You'd said you'd do anything right?", he clarifies as you look at his back facing you. 

"Yeah I already gave you onigiris-". 

"I mean it doesn't take up the rest of the year to teach you does it?", he cuts in. 

"... no..." you pout. 

"Then I have decided.", he turns around. You look up with curiosity to what he meant. He slowly walks up to you 

"Be my girlfriend."

"Huh?"

"for the rest of the year until the end of our graduation." 

HUH?!!!
