Still with you [Akaashi x Reader] ON HOLD

14. A Distraction

"I love you Y/N", Akaashi confesses.

Those three words... 'I love you...', 

You have always heard them many times when you were confessed from other boys. But- 

What does that really mean to you? 

"I...", you were flushed with butterflies churning inside your stomach. 

"You don't have to tell me your feelings right now.", he calmly responds. "I know... I know how hard this is for you. I just want you to know how I feel for you and no matter what, I'll always... always be with you and protect you", he confessed holding onto your hand. You couldn't say anything as you tightly hold onto his. Akaashi's arm was wrapped around your waist bringing your closer to him as you feel warm that night listening to Akaaashi's heartbeat.  

The next day, a pair of arms were wrapped around you made you instantly wake up. A sleeping Akaashi was resting snuggling into your neck. You had a look around the place to realise that you were both in your room, still in your school uniforms. You started to get flashback from last night of Akaashi confessing to you. The flashbacks of Akaashi's actions of wanting to protect you, his jacket comforting you with warmth and his hand never wanting to let you go. You smiled to yourself as you softly placed your lips onto Akaashi's plumped lips without him even noticing. 

"Thank you Akaashi", you softly whisper. 

You got up from your bed, you properly wrapped Akaashi with your blanket and entered into the bathroom. Before you freshen yourself up with a nice warm shower, you stare at yourself into your reflection, staring at the bruise and scars left on you. The ripped school blouse exposed on your chest made you feel in total embarassment not forgetting the eyes and the actions of Atsumu's. You even deeply thought about when will it be the right time to confess your feelings towards Akaashi. A deep sigh left your lips knowing that there are things you still had things to take care of first. 

Akaashi slightly woke up when you exited out of your bathroom. He places his hand on top of his head, feeling dizzy. Luckily You were relieved that Annie wasn't with you or she'll start to freak out with the bruises pop out of nowhere from the both of you. 

"I think... we should take a day off of school.", you insisted. "The teachers will become suspicious with the bruises and bandages on your face... and mine.", you prepared him a cup of warm water. He agreed as well while drinking in thought. 

He decided it'll be best to give you space alone, as he prepares to leave your house. 

"Thanks for lending me your blazer", returning it over to him neatly. 

"Um... about last night...", he blushes while placing a hand on his neck. 

"Don't overthink it too much.", he says.
