Entrance Exams.
They are finally here. The need for caffeine, staying late at night, and revising your studies. Boy, exams sure does drive everyone crazy. The fact that your marks reflect the effort of how much you study, where you wanna go to, and what you wanna do. You felt so stressed. You wanted to put your all in everything you got. You always kept in thought how much Akaashi is honestly such a saint to you. Before your exams, you decided maybe it'll be the right time to give him a call.
"Hello?", he places his phone against his shoulder while both of his hands are busy flicking the pages on one hand and writing on the other.
"Hey Akaashi! Are you busy at the moment?", you kindly asked.
"Not at all. What's up? Is... everything okay?", he questions stopping his motion.
"Yeah. Can you come up to my rooftop for a couple of minutes?", you asked once more.
"Sure. No problem. I'll be there in a sec.", he responds.
A few minutes passed by, Akaashi climbs up the ladder, happy to not only breathe in fresh air but to see your face again. He realised that he has been too distracted overworking himself with his own studies. He truly missed seeing your face the past few days.
"Sorry calling you all of a sudden during our studying period calling you at a time like this.", you apologise touching the ends of your hair.
"A mini-break won't hurt.", he walks up to you.
"So... why did you bring me up here? Is it cause... you miss me?", he teases pinching your cheek.
"Haha, not at all I mean, I see you from the window everyda-", you stop realising how stupid those words came out.
"Ah- that came out really wrong", you bring a fake chuckle. "A-anyways, exams are days away so I want to give you something.", you told him.
"Actually I have something for you as well.", He stuffs his hand into his pocket and pulls out a fabric material.
"A scrunchie?", you laugh quietly holding onto a colour that suits you.
"While we studied from time to time, I realised you always put your hair up. Since there's nothing much you can carry into an exam, I want you to have this as a lucky charm when you study.", he concedes placing a hand on his nape.
"Thanks, Akaashi... It really means a lot to me. I also have something for you", you hand him over a box wrapped with a red ribbon.
So cute... Akaashi says in his thoughts.
"You've not only have been a great friend/ 'boyfriend' but you had to cope with me studying maths and preparing for this..." you quickly stop realising you're mumbling over words you might as well stay out there all night talking about him. "So in return, I wanted to give you a gift.", you grinned chuckling.
