Cory was the farthest from the door, so he had to wait for the other three to get out first. The ginger and brunette had no problems, but as the ravenette was climbing out, a patronizing, yet familiar, voice rang out in the distance.

"You fainted, Potter? Is Longbottom telling the truth? You actually fainted?"

Malfoy pushed the brunette girl aside and strode up to 'Potter' and blocked the boys exit. That also kept Cory confined within the carriage. He sighed in annoyance as Malfoy stayed in place with an annoying smirk on his face.

"Shove off, Malfoy," said the redhead. He seemed to be getting angrier and angrier at the silver-eyed boy's antics. Malfoy's smirk only grew at the blatant anger rolling off the ginger in waves.

"Did you faint as well, Weasley?"

   "Is there a problem?"

Cory turned his head at his uncle's voice and signed in relief. He glanced back at Malfoy only to gain some anger of his own at how the other blond was looking at his uncle. Like Remus inferior to him. Cory's brow furrowed in undisguised anger. Who did this little rat-faced mongrel think he was? The rat then took to using sarcasm.

   "Oh, no er- Professor."

Cory's eyes narrowed after the rude boy and his companions. Cory vowed that he would wipe that smug look off of that insolent prats face if it was the last thing he did. But how would he do that if he didn't even have the guts to speak in phrases longer than two words? The pessimist, now deemed the angsty 12 year old, in him reared its ugly head yet again.

"Ah, Cory m'boy. How was your trip here?" his uncle prompted.

Cory raised his eyes to meet his uncle's before giving a small nod. Remus understood that that was all he was going to get from the boy and gave Cory a warm smile before walking into the castle.

Three heads turned in his direction causing Cory's head to duck down in embarrassment. He walked past the young trio towards the castle entrance.

Cory couldn't help but marvel at the architecture as it was unlike anything he bore witness to before. The distractions that garnered his attention allowed Cory to arrive at the entrance to what his uncle described as the Great Hall, but before he could wander in, a stern voice stopped him.
