The days progressed at a snail's pace, but Cory was glad not many people were talking about Sirius' appearance. Theories were strewn through the student population, but none of them were even remotely close to being correct. Cory was excited, though, about the upcoming quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. The match was originally between Gryffindor and Slytherin, but the snot-nosed rich boy Draco Malfoy was 'still injured'. Even though Gryffindor was a formidable opponent, Cory could feel it. He knew Hufflepuff was going to win and he believed it wholeheartedly.

Speaking of Gryffindor, he hadn't had much of an opportunity to interrogate Fred about his strange behavior because he had been busy searching for the charms that could recreate the Marauder's Map that he was told about. He asked Sirius about it and the man surprised him when he stated he had been one of the creators of it, but his memory was a little hazy from all the years he spent being driven insane in Azkaban. Nevertheless, what he did remember was a great help. He said that the Marauder's had used the Homonculous Charm that was a powerful and advanced charm that enchanted the map to track the movements of everyone in the castle. So, Cory searched the library for the spell and all it entailed. He had to recite the charms chant and then he would have to manually chart all of the passageways he knew of, but it went faster with Sirius' help. Sirius, though quite, how Cory could say... idiotic, was an immense help when it came to adding insults to ward off possible intruders on the new map. The two hadn't completely finished the map, so it didn't show all of the people transversing the halls, but it was a start, and a better start than Sirius told Cory the Marauder's had. He even said Cory could match the smarts of both his mother and Lily Potter, but Cory denied that. He knew he was smart, don't get him wrong, he also knew he wasn't as smart as those amazing women.

Currently, Cory sauntered down the hallway with his nose in a book. He was glad that he didn't have to pay much attention to his surroundings because class had already ended and most of the other students were either in their dorms or in the Great Hall.

Cory nearly tripped when a hand grasped his arm, pulling him away from Hogwarts: A History. The book was closed and held to the boys chest while his other arm was occupied by the person's hand.

"Cory, have you been avoiding me again?"

Cory looked to the redhead in confusion. Had he been avoiding him?

"What do you mean? I haven't been avoiding you."

Fred laughed dryly. "Well you haven't been able to get back to me about our little outing. It's been a few days since we last talked about it and you kinda ran out on me."
