Rina x Sejin
Everyone knows about Manager Sejin, and how he has helped BTS and has been with them through thick and thin. He's basically the member's older brother at this point. What we haven't seen, however, is Rina and Sejin moments. Let's find out how the two interact, shall we?
Macaroons
BTS have had many fan-signs since their debuts, and in each fan-sign, fans get them gifts.
This time, the members were having a fan-sign in Japan. At the beginning of the row was Namjoon, and Rina was all the way at the end.
A fan had made macaroons for them and wrapped them in a plastic bag, tied around with a purple ribbon.
Having seen the macaroons, Rina got excited, she had been dieting for their comeback, and during fan-signs are the only time when she's allowed to eat whatever the fans provided. Her smile widened when Jimin passed the last macaroon to her.
She grabbed the one end of the ribbon and pulled on it, expecting it to fall apart so she could devour the treat, but she frowned when nothing happened. She tugged it a little harder but nothing happened. She looked at the other members whose mouths were full and looked down at her trapped treat. She tugged a little harder but it was useless, the ribbon was tangled.
Sejin, who was keeping watch over the members, noticed the young girl's struggles and walked over to her.
"You can't open it?" He asked, kneeling down next to the table, facing her, and grabbed the macaroon from her hand.
"It's tangled," Rina pouted.
"It's okay, I'll open it for you," the man said, and with one pull, the ribbon came apart, "Here you go," he grabbed the treat and fed it to her and watched as her eyes brightened when she took a bite, "Is it good?"
Rina nodded, grabbing the rest of it from his hand, "You're such a child," Sejin murmured, standing up and patting her head.
Hospital
BTS struggled when they were first starting out, from cut broadcasts to harsh criticisms on live television.
They debuted in 2013 with the song No More Dream, and with that memory being precious to all eight of them, they had decided to perform in their upcoming concert, only this time, there were going to add a small twist to it.
After hours of discussion, days of practice, and more hours of practice, the concert was finally here. Everyone knew what to do, their dance moves, their lines, everything.
They were having rehearsals one list time, they wanted to give their fans all that they've got. They didn't want to mess up.
Halfway through the song, a dance break was formed, and there was a part where Jungkook was supposed to lift Rina, and give the illusion of her walking on the members back.
They had practiced this move multiple times to the point where they all felt like they could do it in their sleep.
Jungkook knew his cue, he and Rina met each other halfway and he lifted her up. She lightly stepped on the members backs, making sure not to put too much pressure, and as Jungkook went to put her down, she landed wrongly on her foot.
She released a cry as she fell to the ground.
Everyone stopped what they were doing.
Namjoon and Jungkook quickly ran to her.
"Are you okay? What happened?" Namjoon asked, looking her in the eyes, making sure she wouldn't lie.
Rina hissed in pain before taking a deep breath, "It's nothing, I'm okay. I just didn't stick the landing."
"Rina-ah," Jungkook called as the other members got to them, "Your ankle is swollen."
"Can you get up?" Yoongi asked, grabbing her hand and helping her up.
Rina hissed and her knee buckled when she put pressure on her leg, only for Yoongi to wrap his hand around her waist to keep her up.
"What's going on?" Sejin asked, finally getting to them.
"Rina hurt herself," Taehyung replied.
Sejin leaned down and gingerly took Rina's foot in his hands. Rina looked at him, "B-but it's okay. I'll just get some ice and it'll be fine. I'll be good to-" she let out a small scream when Sejin pressed on her ankle.
"I think you sprained your ankle," Sejin said, looking up at the girl in pity, already knowing what's going to happen.
"I can still perform, right? I mean. I just don't have to put a lot of pressure on it and so-"
"Rina, the concert is in two hours," Sejin interrupted, "We're going to have to get a doctor to look at it-"
"What does that mean?"
"It means you can't perform Rina," J-Hope replied, with a grim look on his face.
"You can sing but you won't be able to dance," Namjoon added.
Rina shook her head, a tear escaping her eyes, "But I can do it," she turned to Namjoon, "Oppa, you hurt your ankle once and you still went on stage. I can do it too-"
"We only had two songs left and none of them had any choreography," Namjoon interrupted her, "Your case is different. The concert hasn't even started yet, and the choreography for this album is ridiculously hard, especially with the dance break," Rina looked down, more tears escaping her eyes.
"Come on," Sejin squatted down in front of her, "We should probably head to the hospital now if we want to get back in time for you to get changed.
With Yoongi's help, Rina got on Sejin's back and he started walking towards the exit. She hid her face on the back of his shoulder, trying to hide her tears.
Sejin sighed, he hated seeing her this way, he hated seeing any of the members this way, "Ri-Na," he started, "We know how much this means to you, everyone here does, but at the same time you have to think about your health. ARMY will understand, and we're all just trying to look out for you. Okay?"
She felt her nod her head against his shoulder and smiled, knowing that she was actually listening.
Airport
Rina had to fly to London to film her album while the boys stayed in Korea. Sejin had insisted on going with her even though she said he didn't have to. As soon as her car pulled up in front of the airport, Rina could already see the camera light flashing.
"Ready?" Sejin asked, opening his door and getting out.
Rina pouted, "Why ask after you've already opened the door?" She said, grabbing the hand that Sejin was giving her to help her get out of the car, as soon as she was out, she wrapped her arm around his.
"I was just asking to be nice," Sejin replied, leading the young girl into the airport.
"My manager is so mean to me," she mumbled so only he would hear so no one would take it out of context.
Sejin smiled and let go of her arm so her pictures would be taken. Rina put on a smile and stood still for a few minutes before walking to meet up with Sejin, wrapping her arm around his again.
"Oppa, will you take a picture with me for ARMY?" She asked, a smile on her face.
"No," he said without missing a heartbeat.
Rina pouted, "Bang PD-Nim would have," she said.
Sejin sighed, and wrapped his arm around her shoulder and used his other hand for a peace sign, Rina copying him as the two posed for the few cameras in front of them before quickly walking to not miss her plane.
"Thank you," Rina said, smiling happily.
Sejin gave a soft smile, looking at the young girl whom he has sworn to protect.
