Chapter 15 - Are you happy now?

He got closer to me and when I tried to get up and explained to him he slapped me right on my left cheek. I was soaked with blood both on my outfit and my palms with my pale face and here I am being slapped for no apparent reason?

"What the...why the fuck did you...?" He completely ignored me and made his way straight to Daphne.

"Daphne! Daphne wake up! What the hell happened here and who the fuck did this to you?" Dylan cried out loud? I could feel his pain. Daphne was like a sister to me and losing her will be the last thing I'll ever wish for. But why the heck did he slap me?

"What did you do to Daphne? I left her in your care and you...you...you..." He face palmed himself and let the tears flow. I couldn't hold my tears either.

'Its Kenzie. She shot Daphne. She came here with the pizza we ordered for right on the dining table. Kenzie..."

"Kenzie did what? Then what the fuck is that gun doing on your bag?" He said grasping the gun which I don't know how it got there from my bag into his hand.

"Did Kenzie drop that on your bag to put the blame on you too? Like how Van's murderer dropped it in your hands? Nova don't let me suspect you want to do this to Daphne the same way you did to Van and be blaming others for it?"

"Dylan you...? You don't trust me? Do you also think I can do this? I'm really hurt. Daphne is like a little sister to me and Van is like a father to me. How in the world will you think I can do such thing?

Believe me Kenzie did this! She came here with a gun in her pocket as a delivery person. She entered without being invited and her Dad's death was what we were arguing about, still blaming me.

I don't even know how she knew I was with Daphne. Daphne was only defending me when Kenzie wasn't ready to hear me out, and out of anger she shot Daphne right in her heart I guess." I sobbed in between words but still had to made him understand that I'm not a murderer.

His silence made me continue even though he was still seated on the floor with his gaze on Daphne, "You might not believe me though, but the truth stands.

You're really angry now and I can see that, but you have to calm down and hope Daphne..." I had lost hope since it was her heart she was shot at, but a miracle could happen.

Suddenly the siren of the ambulance was heard and quickly Daphne was attended to. As we were waiting for them to do the necessary stuff, one of them got up and approached us, "She was shot at her heart and that's where she was unlucky. Its too late now. Sorry we've lost her."

"We've what?!" Dylan grabbed the man by collar vigorously shaking him with tears streaming down from his eyes. His face had reddened and I was really touched.

The colleagues of the man successfully separated them. I couldn't move nor talk. I was so broken. I had lost a sister. I can't believe all these is really happening.

Van's gone. Daphne's gone. Like hell! I was still soused in blood and I had no intention of washing myself. Daphne's gone? Why this early?;

Its been hours now and I was still in Dylan's house. The sun had set waiting for the moon to emerge and I was still soaked in blood, same as Dylan.

Dylan hadn't spoken since the incident happened and so had I. We were seated in the couch both of us deep in our thoughts and Dylan still had the gun in his hand. Probably Daphne could come back. To me. To us. But no...I sighed.

"Dylan? Dylan?" I finally spoke, calling out his name but he had no intention of minding me. "Dylan?!"

"Don't you dare call my name!"

"And may I ask why?"

"What the fuck do you want me do or say? That you murdered two human beings all together?"

"You still don't believe me? What else do you want me to do for you to believe me? I didn't do that!"

"Stop that drama its pissing me off! You took away Van's life. And since Kenzie wants revenge you're now blaming her, thinking I'll believe you and go haunt Kenzie so that you can go scot free huh? You want me to point a gun through her head?

I always trusted you. I took you as my sister too, but you...you betrayed me and...and did this murderous thing to me! Are you happy now?

Why did you do it in the first place? What the fuck came to your mind? What did I do to you Nova Smith?! At least spare Daphne's life and take mine instead!

You knew Daphne was on my heart and you decided to take her from me! I'm really disappointed. I'm wretched. I've been neglected by a trusted friend too. I'm just so fucking miserable.

I just don't get the reason why you did that. Why? I mean why Nova? I thought you loved Daphne as you love yourself. I'm really disappointed in you."

"Dylan..."

"Don't you dare...your voice is irritating me now! All I need is my only sister. Who's gonna prank me now? I'm fucking missing her already! That sweet face..." He buried his face on his knees which had been hugged. I couldn't stop my tears either.

"Dylan listen to me. I know I'm pissing you off but at least understand me. I did no such thing! I don't even know how the gun got onto my bag. I wasn't carrying any weapon with me. It was Kenzie who..."

"Shut. The. Fuck. Up!" All of a sudden I felt a metallic projectile pierce right at the left side of my tummy which cause me to holler in pain.

I tracked down and noticed a furious Dylan with a gun found on my bag pointed at me. He had shot me out of anger too. The pain was so painful that I closed my eyes trying to keep calm but it wasn't helping either. I realised Dylan had left the house, closing the door right behind him.

Daphne and Van had really suffered, cause I couldn't hold the pain any longer. Blood was oozing outta my tummy and I knew I would go unconscious anytime soon, might even succumb.

'God please forgive me of all my sins and aid me overcome this pain.' I recited a little short prayer, hoping there'll be help, but it seemed not. My hopes were lost once again. Goodbye world.

I slightly closed my eyes, darkness overtaking me, that's when a figure entered the house approaching me. "Nova! Nova open your eyes!" I couldn't hold it anymore. I allowed the darkness take control over me.
