Tris grabbed her bag and followed four into a room. There were three other girls sitting on a bench, all wearing name labels. Lynn, Marlene and Shauna. Lynn was tanned, Marlene was pale and drenched and Shauna was tanned. Four handed me a label which said Tris. I smiled at my new name. I sat down next to Lynn. She elbowed me and fanned her mouth. I grinned and nodded in agreement.
"So. Newbies." Said a girls voice which I recognised
"Yeah" said a boys voice.
"I wonder what they are" said another girl
"Yeah" said another boy
"Maybe one of them will be pure" said the second girl "that will be a show"
"Yeah" said the first boy.
"Is that all the boys say here" asked Lynn
"I dunno. Four says stuff" I shrugged. She had a sort of Mexican accent. The voices continued and then the door behind us opened. Christina was the voice I had recognised. There was a boy standing next to her. He was blonde and muscular and quite cute, but not hot like four. His name badge said Will. The other girl was Cara, a slightly chubby girl with rosy cheeks and straight chocolaty smooth hair. There were two similar looking boys, Uriah and Zeeke. I figured they were brothers by the cheeky grin which they shared.
"Hey newbies" laughed Uriah. Zeeke kicked him.
"Were your form group" smiled Christina
"Wait..." I said "this is school!" I make a throwing up motion. Uriah and Four laughed.
"Congrats guys! We are almost pure at least" said Cara
"And now your going to find out which and how many powers you have" said Christina. Lynn's jaw dropped in perfect time with shaunas. Marlene said
"What the" in complete shock.
"It shocked us too at first but its pretty cool" said Will
"You spoke" I returned and everybody laughed. We should probably sit down, Tori will be here to help. On cue a pretty Asian woman with crazy hair walked in.
"Hi. I'm Tori" she said "hopefully your classmates have breifed you and we can get straight down to your powers. So just pick a spot in the distance and think about superpowers and wait til something happens." I picked an in splodge on the wall and foAcused on it and thought about superpowers. I waited and nothing happened although freezing things did seem to keep entering my head. I thought about that and I was about to start singing 'let it go' in my head when Uriah who was pacing around the room screamed and slid across the room. Christina clapped and Tori stood up.
"Enough freezing up the room Tris" I realised it was snowing around me. I laughed.
'Work on your next power" said Tori. "You often have a power for each faction and maybe two for one or two. The more factions the stronger." I had five or more powers so I refocused on the ink splodge. This time shape shifting came into my head. I thought about shape shifting into Elsa and I felt a shift. This time Uriah gave a whoop and shifted into kristof! I laughed and shot some cartoon snowflakes into the sky and sung let it go. Everyone laughed but Tori looked annoyed. The room suddenly became hot and Marlene's hair was flaming. Kristof/ Uriah nudged me and said in a lowered voice.
"Fire est tres sexy" he said
"Tris get on with it, Uri stop distracting her" shouted Tori
I returned to my Tris normal form focused on the ink again. I thought about the wind until I realised the roaring in my ears wasn't silence but a raging wind. I stopped thinking and thought refocused. I thought about teleporting. I felt a rush and I closed my eyes. I opened them and I smelt something nice and familiar. I opened my eyes and realised that I was in my living room and mom was baking in the kitchen I teleported to my room and grabbed most of the stuff I had left in a bag and teleported back. I dumped it on the floor with a stern look from Tori and continued refocusing again. I thought about a bowl of water appearing and sure enough it did. I suddenly thought about controling it like in h20. Sure enough with the weird hand motions it did. I focused one more time and thought about water again. I was so focused that I didn't notice the room filling with water until Christina screamed. I stopped and the water receeded. I couldn't focus anymore. I got up. Tori gave me a piece of paper.
"Write your powers on this" she said. I got a pen from my bag and started writing
1. Ice/ freezing
2. Shape shifting
3. Wind
4. Teleportation
5. Making things appear
6. Water control
7. Creating water
I handed it to Tori. She read it over and nodded.
"Congratulations, you have the most powers. More than four." Everyone looked at me. Four smiled at me.
"Tori..." Started Zeeke
"Well what are you waiting for. You have personal development"
We walked down the hall and Uriah nudged me.
"Your my PD partner. By the way do you happen to like know Marlene. Well, and like get me you know, with her." I laughed. I realised Four had been walking next to us. He chuckled.
"Maybe Tris will give you lessons on how to get a girl" he laughed and walked off
"Speaking of hot" I laughed to Uriah.
