Anne felt a deep feeling of giddiness bubble within her stomach during the school day. More specifically whenever her thoughts drifted towards a certain brunette boy.

She played the part in front of all her friends, the girl who was absolutely excited and love struck by the appearance of a handsome stranger in the wood late last night. Not that she felt that way at all, she only had eyes for one person.

Even though Gilbert and her had decided to brush aside their intimate feelings towards each other for the benefit of others around them, it still wouldn't hold back their friendship or their growing feelings.
It really was the epitome of a tragical romance. One shared kiss of deeply struck romance before being torn apart by a dastardly conflict in feelings, Anne felt it was sad and romantic.

During lessons whilst the girls gossiped amongst Ms Stacys teachings, Anne would turn her head slightly so her eyes would be able to glance at Gilbert, who would be staring back at her already. Then they would blush and smile and turn back around before continuing to study. This had been going on since break time and Anne was thoroughly enjoying it.

"Listen up class!" Ms Stacys voice called through the classroom, halting everyone from their class work.
"I would like to inform you, we will be having a test on geometry this friday, so study hard and you'll be fine!" she smiled and nodded before waving her hand to tell them to continue with their work.

Anne felt anxiety bubble in her stomach. She was such a dunce at geometry, no matter how much she studies she never can more than an 80 mark in it. She was surely going to fail this time.

Anne shook the negative thought out of her brain and attempted to focus back on her work.

Gilbert who was already staring at Anne noticed how she looked put off my Ms Stacys news, he made a note in his brain to bring it up in a conversation they will have at a later date.

The lunch bell rung, snapping the students out of the daze of boredom they had grown into during that lesson- all except Anne and Gilbert who never refrained from being passionately studious.

"Anne are you sitting with us this lunch?" Diana smiled at the girl as her and the other girls headed towards the curtain which they ate lunch behind.

"i think i may just start studying for the test this friday, i'm determined to excel." Anne modded her head firmly, trying to persuade them and herself. They just smiled and walked off. Anne sighed and slumped back in her desk, her head buried in her crossed arms.

Suddenly a small cough alerted Anne that someone was next to her. Looking up she same Gilbert smiling shyly down at her.

"uh hello." he said, as he came and sat next to her on the bench.

"Gilbert, are you okay?" she asked, confused on why he was talking to her without a reason.

"yeah i am fine Anne, it's you i'm worried about, you looked kinda sad, are you okay?" he smiled in concern down at her as she smiled sadly back.

"i'm fine Gil, just worried about the rest on friday-i am very bad at geometry and no matter how much i study i cant do it." She huffed in annoyance as Gilbert smiled brightly.

"How about we meet after school everyday this week and we study?" he suggested and she smiled brightly.

Her eyes darted quickly around the room, thankfully it was empty as the girls had decided to sit outside that day.

Then she flung herself into Gilbert's arms, hugging him tightly around the neck.
"Oh thank you! thank you! thank you! Gilbert, you are my hero!" Anne giggled in excitement. Hanging out with Gilbert everyday that week AND studying. Anne couldn't think of anything better.

"So it's settled, i'll see you tonight." He grinned before standing up and brushing his hand against hers and leaving the room.
