Living a New Life with Sam Pottorff

Chapter 3

POV: Zoe

After work ends, I walk home. I change out of my blue shirt and khaki shorts. I decide to put on my favourite high waisted shorts and a Brandy Melville tank top that reads "I'll love you to the moon and back." Underneath my clothing I had on my black and mint blue striped bikini (just in case we go swimming, I want to be prepared).

Then I grabbed my phone and my keys. I put on my baby blue vans and walked to Sam's house. I texted him while I was walking.

5 minutes after I text him, I arrive at his house. I ring Sam's doorbell and 2 seconds later he comes to the door, shirtless.
"Hey!" Sam says to me. I was in shock with him not having a shirt on. He did look really attractive.
"Hey! Can I come in?" I ask like a total butt-head.
He laughed and said "of course beautiful." And at that point I was freaking out inside. He called me beautiful, and his voice! It doesn't sound like something to get excited about, but it's cute.
I walked into his house that was very clean. He invited me to sit on the couch. I took of my shoes and walked over the the couch.
"Do you want a drink? We have water, juice, tea, lemonade, milk, soda?" Sam offers.
"Can I have some water please?" I ask Sam.
"Of course beautiful, whatever you want." He tells me. After he gets water for me we comes and joins me on the couch. We decide to watch Mean Girls, a classic.

So let me explain what our seating looks like on the couch. Sam is over by the edge of the couch, and I'm right next to him. A minute or two into it he sorta pulls me into him so my head is resting on his bare chest. Then I pull my knees into both of us. After 3 minutes of the movie were cuddling. We had popcorn on the table in front of us, and candy. I can't have any since I'm on a diet, but Sam doesn't need to know about my diet right now.
"So Zoe, what high school do you go to?" Sam asks.
"I go to Grant High. What about you Sam?" I ask.
"Well at the moment, none. My mom and I are going to tour both high schools next week. I wanted to see where you went because I could maybe go to the same school as you," Sam says shyly.
"Well you should definitely come to Grant, and you could have the same exact schedule as me!" I say excitedly. Then we went back to watching the movie.

After the movie, Sam suggested to go to the beach, I of course said yes. I'm so glad that I Brough my swim suit along. He ran upstairs and came down in swim shorts and again, no shirt. It was about 4:30 and the beach was empty. Maybe it's a private beach? We did have easy access to it, but others could totally enter.

Sam and I played around in the water for 20 minutes, and then went inside to dry off. It was so much fun. I don't think words can describe what happened. Nothing sexual happened, it was just really fun.
I said that I should leave now, after we did our swimming. Sam really wanted me to hang out more but I think I need to go home and make dinner for myself.
"No Zoe, you can have dinner with Levi and me! And besides I need to pick up Levi from a friend's house. You could go home and get overnight stuff then come over and we can all make dinner! Doesn't that sound fun!" Sam says before I can leave.
"Okay Sam, you win! I will give into you and sleepover at your house. Your lucky since tomorrow is a Saturday, so I don't have to work," I say.

Sam ran over to get Levi at 4:55. I ran home to get my overnight stuff. I grabbed a backpack and put a pair of sweatpants, a tee-shirt, make-up, deodorant, tooth brush, an extra pair of shorts, I grabbed some food (snacks that fit my diet), socks, and hair ties. When I got everything in a bag and then walk back to Sam's house.

POV: Sam

Basically I had to do what I had to do. Zoe was going to leave and I could have that happen so I invited her to stay the night. I know I'm crazy, but it works. I run over to the house that I dropped of Levi at and pick him up. Then I tell him that Zoe is going to have dinner with us and sleepover at our house. He seems perfectly fine with this arrangement. Now I have to call my mom and say this to her....
"Hi sweetie, is there something wrong?" My mom asks.
"No mom I was just asking is it okay if one of my new friends sleeps over here?" I ask.
"Of course, is it a boy or a girl? Also, who is it?" My mom asks.
"It's Zoe, the one that works at Levi's daycare. She's a girl," I say.
"Zoe is a very nice girl! Of corse she can hang over here for the night! Do you like her?" My mom asks.
"Ummm yeah I do. But we're not going to be making out and having sex mom!" I say.
"Of course I was just making sure it was something cute not something sexual like some boys at your age are doing!" She says.
"True, okay well we're going to start on dinner is that okay?" I ask my mom.
"Yeah! I'm actually going to be heading home in about 5 minutes. Okay bye hunny!" My mom says.
"Bye mom, see ya soon!" I say. Then we hang up.
"Okay now all we have to do is wait for Zoe to get back," I tell Levi.
"She is coming up to the door!" Levi says.
"Hey I'm back!" Says Zoe in her beautiful voice.
"Hey beautiful! So my mom is coming home pretty soon. So we can start making dinner! What do you want?" I ask Zoe.
"Do you guys have pasta and broccoli?" Zoe asks.
"Yeah, do you want some chicken too? We could do like a noodles and company type dish." I say to Zoe.
"Yeah! I can make a couple different pasta dishes for everybody. How does that sound Levi and Sam?" Zoe asks both of us.
"Perfect!" Levi says.
"Just what I was thinking Levi!" I say.
"Perfect, I can do that! Sam can you help me?" Zoe asks me.
"Totally! What do you need help with beautiful?" I ask. I can see her blush. She is so cute.
"Umm I need pasta, broccoli, chicken, cheese, butter, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, a couple bowls, and pans." She says.
"Of course!" I say while I'm getting out everything she needs.

While Zoe is doing something with the pasta I come up behind her, and put my arms around her stomach. She laughs, and we sway back and forth in that position. At this point, Levi is up in his first room playing with his toys, and waiting for dinner to be ready. This is a really nice first day so far. I loved it!
