DUA (Complete)

chapter 1

Opening the door to her therapists room,dua sighed..she had been coming here since they had shifted to England and that was since four years, she had bonded quite well with this beautiful lady anne who was her docter and somehow she had helped her alot recovering from her trauma.

Entering inside she greeted her and settled down on the couch making herself comfortable.

'So dua, you ready for university tommorow?' Anne asked in her beautiful soothing voice.

"No,I am not, when I wanted a gap year, why did you force me to opt for uni instead?" Fidgeting with her fingers dua spoke away, she always did in front of anne.

"If you would have taken a gap year and stayed home , you would have never made any career, your confidence that you have seem to build up would have just gone away dua,its for your betterment!" Anne stated calmly.

"Yeah, I understand that but I guess I am not ready to face the  world yet anne, an only girls highschool was the best for me, but this university will be a whole chaos, I am confused." Dua stated her fears.

"But my dear you do need to buckle up, leave your fears behind and face the world, not everyone is the same, neither any of the bad events will ever repeat, be brave my child and conquer your fears."
Anne came closer and held dua's trembling hands in hers, soothing her.

"I, I cant take it anymore anne, I am tired, when I walk around I feel as if everyone's staring at me! If any guy looks at me or comes close to talk to me, I get scared, it feels as if they are gonna corner me and.." breaking into sobs dua left her words unsaid but anne knew her quite well.

"Dua , look at me! Stop being vulnerable, stop living in the past, move on! , just forget it and face the world, study hard, become what you dreamed of and fight for other girls who are the victims of this brutality my dear."
Passing dua the tissues  anne stated,feeling bad for this cute little lovely girl.

"You are right anne, I just cant run away from the world." Controlling her sobs dua wiped her tears with the tissue.

"Mind it dua, It wasnt your fault , you were the victim and Now you have to show the world that you are not vulnerable, you are strong!"

"Thanks anne,it helped me alot,wonder what I would have done without you." Bidding farewell dua left the clinic with a contended face, anne's words ringing in her mind boosting energy in her. Adjusting her floral silk hijab she boarded the city bus ,eyes low, she took a seat beside the window hoping no one will sit beside her.
