Hellooooo lovlies! Sorry about the late update, I haven't been feeling well lately.
This is my first extra I have written so far.
For those who don't know what an extra is, its basically just a little snip of what could have happened in previous chapters; its like an extention of the story.
In this extra, we are going back to chapter 4, "Fighting for dummies"
If you haven't voted on my last chapter, PLEASE do so!
enjoy!
====================
I sighed as Fara led me down path after path, weaving around each twist and turn. I didn't know where I was, I couldn't count how many times we made lefts or rights anymore. I decided to stop trying, and just follow. But I couldn't stop my mourning for home. I missed my momma. I wanted her to know I was okay. I hope she isn't worrying, I thought. I just want to send her a letter or something.. maybe I could ask Fara about it later, I concluded.
Finally, Fara led me through two glass doors. They opened to reveal a rather large room, which had a long dining table in the middle. Many different ranked people were here, all sitting at the table and eating together.
Different types of food sat on the table, from salads to roast beef. There seemed to be food for anyone, no matter what dietary restrictions. I was thoroughly impressed by whoever put this all together.
I turned my attention away from the food and to the people. Maybe Malik was here, or that Jaeden kid. I glanced around the room, but I couldn't recognize anyone. Everyone in the room was wearing a mask, so it was hard to tell who was who. I tried to search for the long blond dreads but no one in the room had them.
I sighed in defeat as Fara guided me through the sea of people, towards a row of smaller tables on the edges of the room. I gasped as I saw Malik- the one with the beautiful dreads- sitting at our table, waiting for Fara and I.
He was dressed in a simple orange t-shirt and black sweats, but he still looked amazing... as usual.
I found myself smiling and walking a little faster once I had seen Malik. Soon, Fara and I were sitting down at the table. Fara and Malik immediantly began having a conversation about the newer trainies that were going to pick their jobs soon. I felt excluded, and was dissapointed that I couldn't talk to Malik. But hearing him speak was okay too, I thought to myself.
I zoned the conversation out, and daydreamed about Malik, although he was right in front of me. I wanted to train more with him, he was such an encouraging teacher... not to mention he was absolutely handsome, even if I couldn't see his face.
I was snapped out of my daydream by an annoyed Fara.
"Did you hear me?" she stared at me, her unseen eyes still staring daggers into me. Jesus, she's scary, I thought to myself before responding.
"Uh, no ma'am, I apologize, I wasn't paying attention," I stated, bowing my head down as I did so. What did she want with me?
"Well, I told you to go fetch me and Malik some drinks, you can find them at the mini bar in the back," She loosely pointed in the direction off the bar.
"Ooh!" She exclaimed, almost hopping up out of her seat.
"Go get me some of those chocolate dipped strawberries, will you?" She added.
I sighed, and knew that I couldn't argue. I nodded and rose out of my seat, walking over to where Fara told me to go.
People stared as I walked, and at first I thought it was maybe because of my apparence, so I tried to brush my frizzy hair up and back with my hands. But then, I realized that these people haven't seen a new recruit in a long time, that's probaby why they're staring.
