Andromeda POV

I was shocked at what had just happened. Who is this guy, and how does he know so much about my sword? I asked him as much.

"Well," he replied. "As I told you before, my name is Percy Jackson. I'm from New York City, and I'm part greek."

He paused, almost like I was supposed to piece everything together on my own. When that didn't happen, he continued.

"My mother is Sally Blofis, neé Jackson. My father is Poseidon, the god of the sea. I'm what would be called a demigod. Half mortal, half-god."

At this, I just burst into laughter.

"Yeah, right, your dad is a god. And I'm the POTUS. That's a good one!" I clutched my stomach in mirth. Wiping my eyes, I looked back up at him. But he wasn't laughing. He seemed upset at me. I stopped laughing, finally realizing what he meant.

"Wait. You're serious, aren't you?" He nodded. "So that means that the gods, like the Greek gods, actually exist. In real life." Again, he nodded.

"So this means that..." my voice faded away into silence.

"That means," he said, "that you are the child of a god. Because only the child of a god can wield celestial bronze weaponry, if you were completely mortal, it would just pass right through you. Mortals are not important enough for the sword to injure."

I had to sit down. It was just too much. "What god?" I whispered, almost too quiet to hear.

"Since you are wielding Wave Breaker, I'd say you were my sister. A daughter of Poseidon. Only children of Poseidon can use Wave Breaker and Riptide. My brother, Tyson, he made Wave Breaker as a twin to Riptide, but I didn't know where it was until today."

At this, I fainted.
