Chapter 11

Scarlet POV

It's been three weeks since I got my boot off and I've only stumbled twice! I feel like I'm getting better with extreme rates and I'm about to get up to make breakfast. ~S

"Texting Kim and Megan. Check. To find Matthew!" I quietly chuckled. I climbed out of bed and and but my hair up into a messy bun. I put on a pair of black leggings and a baggy long sleeve top of Matt's that I've had for years. I walked out of the room and into the nursery where I found a sleeping Jasmine curled up in Matt's arms who was also fast asleep. I carefully lifted Jazz out of Matt's arms and placed her in her crib. I looked over at Matt about to wake him up when something stopped me. I don't know why but I just had the strange feeling I had to-- . I carefully walked up and leaned in towards him until my lips met his and then pulled away the moment his eyes fluttered open. "Morning" I whispered smiling and biting my lip. He smiled but soon that smile faded. He pulled me onto his lap and hugged me tightly. "Morning Scar." He whispered. I smiled and looked at him but not expecting to see his eyes looking directly into mine. The next thing I knew happened so fast it was unbelievable. Matt's soft lips were pressed up against mine and I felt our lips move in sync with my hands balanced on his shoulders and his on my waist. Neither if us let go or pulled away. This felt so right it didn't make sense. If I loved josh why did I feel so much safer around Matt? Eventually we pulled away gasping for air and my arms wrapped around Matt's neck as his around my waist. "Scarlet" he said softly when he pulled back. "I'm sorry but I have to tell you this. Every time I've ever told you I loved you the truth was...I didn't mean it as an older brother or as your best friend. I meant it as in I love you more that the stars love the moon. More than a beating heart loves it's body. More than I've ever loved Nicole. If anything ever happened to you I would die from not being able to be with you. I can't stand being away from you and scarlet I love you so fucking much please don't leave me. I know you love Josh but I'm sorry I love you so much I'm fucking crazy for you." I sat there in shock. If Matt swears it's crazy. He was looking down now. I took my hands on each side of his head and turned so he was facing me. I had tears in my eyes and smiled. "I love you too Matty." I said laughing slightly. my hands still on either side of his head I leaned in and kissed him. Not just a peck on the lips but a long passionate kiss.

Mike POV

"Ian hurry up! We have to get Josh!" I yelled. "Too late I'm already here." Josh said walking in. I groaned and Ian walked down. We piled into the van and drove over to Matt's house like we've done everyday since Scarlet got home from the hospital. When we walked in nobody was in sight. "Ok Josh, Basement. Ian Main floor and I'll take upstairs, I left my gel up there last time we were here anyways." We turned and went our separate ways looking for Scarlet and Matt. I climbed each step getting to the top and not hearing a sound. Maybe they're still asleep? I walked into the bathroom grabbed my gel and made my way into their room. Nothing. Guest room nothing. I looked into the nursery and turned and kept walking but stopped suddenly retracing my steps. Looking in next to the crib I saw Matt and Scarlet, kissing. I cleared my throat and they both jumped. "oh uh hi...Mike?" Matt said more like a question. "Well I'll meet you guys downstairs..." I said turning. "Wait Mike!" Scarlet stopped me. "Please don't tell anyone, not yet. I just- Josh." She said tears forming. I patted her head. "Don't worry sweetheart. I'll make this our little secret for now" I smiled and walked back downstairs. "well?" Ian asked. "Matt was in with Jazz asleep and Scar was still asleep in bed." I replied.

Scarlet POV

I turned walked back and sat down on matt again. He had never really cared I mean I had done this for so long I can't even remember. He wrapped his arms around me and spoke softly. "Do you know how long it had been that I had wished for your lips connected with mine?" It sent chills down my spine and I turned to face him and placed my face not even an inch away from his. "Not today Webb." I smirked, got up and walked downstairs. "Morning princess." Josh said from the living room. "Hey Joshyy." I said smiling. I walked up and gave him a hug. I took his hand and started twirling around in circles laughing. "Well someone's in a good mood." Ian said walking in. "Yes, yes I am" I replied laughing. "And I know why." Mike replied. I stopped laughing and turned. "Because she gets to see us first thing in the morning." He answered. "So immature for an 18 year old" Josh smirked. (A/N Scarlet's birthday was march 22 ten days after Matt's but I wanted to ff to this day because what we gonna talk about for two weeks right?) "said the glitter fairy" I replied laughing. Suddenly I felt somebody pick me up over their shoulder and carry me out to the back. "I hear somebody's being baaad" I heard Matt say in a singsong voice. "Matt put me down!!" I screamed. He was carrying me towards the pool. "No Matty this is my favourite top!" I cried. "It used to be MY top" he pretended to cry back. "Ya bu-" the next thing I knew I was surrounded by water. I'm gonna kill Matt. I surfaced and saw all four guys up there laughing. I pretended I had gotten water in my lungs and couldn't get myself out of the pool. I mean I was in the very centre. Matt literally THREW me into the pool. "Scar!?" He said stepping forward. I look at Josh who was standing behind him and nodded causing josh to push Matt who also fell into the pool. While we were all laughing, I felt something or somebody more likely grab my ankle and pull me under which caused all the other guys to fall on their asses laughing. Two strong arms wrapped around my waist and I smiled as as Matt's lips pressed against mine. He pulled me up to the surface. "I have saved the princess!" He called. Matt helped me out of the pool and crawled out after me. "Joshyyy" I called out. I ran up and tackled him with a hug. "Ugh Scarlettttt" he whined. "These were brand new pants." He pouted. "Well considering I've already drenched you in a hug." I smirked and pulled him over into the pool. I surfaced and soon enough Josh did too. "Scarlet!" He gasped. All the guys were in an uproar of laughter. I heard two more splashes as Mike and Ian were shoved into the pool by Matt who followed by jumping in. This is something I'll always love about them. No matter what, they'll never stay mad at you. Never.
