Brianni
I had to tell him no. Because I didn't want my mother killing me and as much as she's angry right now. I can discredit the amount of hard work that woman put in to make sure I am where I am today. Yes she is extreme but its because she doesnt want me to make tbe same mistakes. Dad was in that lifestyle and mom as a stay at home wife and when he died she had nothing left but his debts and 2 kids.
But I needed her to understand that I am not her and Zion isn't dad. Everyone's story is different. Zion thought that it would be a good idea if we could just go out for a while just to take my mind off what happened today.
We drove up to his dad's restuarant since I've been saying I want to see it. We had a few drinks he had beer and I was stuck with soda. We were enjoy ourselves. It was not that full as of yet but all the eyes that were there kept on stealing glances at us and I felt a bit uncomfortable. A lot of people from where I stay come here and they were surprised to see me with Zion, all cosy. This is really a place where everyone knows everyone and my mom's friendship with Jerrika was well known.
My relationship has been judged at home and here we are again these people doesn't look like they ready to accept us either. "I really wish you would move in with me. The bed's kinda cold without you."
I blushed. "I just don't want to piss her off and we need to know each other more before we move in together."
"I've known you for about 6 years now. Dating for 2, what more do you want?" He chuckled.
"But that was all on social media." I said. I was scared I wasn't gonna be what he expected and he'll get bored of me.
"We connected first day we met." He said. "You know how I knew Brandi wasn't the one?" I looked at him to continue. "Apart from the voice, me and you connected on a whole different level and I knew when she wasn't talking or behaving how you usually do that made me realise, she wasn't you. We could never have that same chemistry"
I grinned. "How do I talk and behave?"
"Don't ask me stupid shit, Bri." He said laughing making me laugh as well. I loved when his vulnerable side slipped out. It was so damn sexy.
I spent the rest of my morning and afternoon with Zion after the food. We went to the movies then we had lunch again at Chic-Fil-A and we got ice creams also while we were at it. I admit it was very nice to spend the day with him for a moment I forgot about the problems that await me at home and just enjoyed this day with him.
He drove me back home at around 5:00pm because he had to go home for the family dinner his mother didn't stop calling him. I was saddened that I'll have to miss it but at the same time I was happy to miss it I cannot show my face at their house not after how I was embarrassed by my ghetto ass mother and her ghetto ass friend.
He gave me a two stacks of money to buy another phone when I have time. "How did you get this much money?" I asked worryingly. It was a lot just for tit not to be in a bank or something.
He gave me a look and pecked my lips to calm me down. "Don't worry about it. It's from my business. And make sure it's an iPhone, Brianni so I can facetime you. If the one you what is charged higher let me know and I'll give you the rest" I was about to say no I didn't want to take it because it'll only upset my mom more but he was really good at persuading and one that I will have to hide from her. It was a lot of money. I doubt I'll use all of it. Probably invest the other money left.
The walk from the shops to home was a devastating one moment ago I was having the time of my life with my boyfriend and now I'm back to being yelled at given weird looks and being treated like I committed the biggest crime ever.
