Zion
It was getting a bit late now and the alcohol was getting to me so I wanted to call it a night, reason why i hate alcohol is because sometimes I get too violent.
The others looked like they were having a good time Ang was up dancing her life away. Cam was still being entertained by the girl that we picked up from the store and Kev was talking to a few ladies on another table."seems like your people are having a good time." Ziyah said.
"looks that way too" I replied. I spotted my ex Melody sitting alone now. I wanted to respect her relationship so I didn't talk to her when her fiance was around.
She was busy with her phone. "Refill?" Ziyah asked me.
"I'm good. I'll be right back." I stood up and made my way to her. I sat on the couch opposite hers we were separated by the table that stood in the middle.
She couldn't even notice that I was at her table that's how much she was consumed by her phone. "You really gone act like you don't see me?" I chuckled.
She shifted her eyes from her phone and then looked at me. "Well you did that when I walked in."
I smiled. "I wanted to give you and your dude some privacy."
She laughed and then stood up. "stop being stupid and come give me a hug it's been a while. How are you doing?"
I stood up too and went to hug her. "I've been good, can't complain."
We broke the hug and then went back to our seats. "I'm glad. I'm so proud of you. Your own club now. I knew you were meant for more than the streets Zion." I smiled. I couldn't ignore being blinded by the bling that was on her finger. "5 months ago"
"congratulations." I said
"Thank you" she smiled. If I didn't mess I could've been the one to marry her. "and you do you have any special someone in your life?"
I thought about Brandi. "you could say that. Yeah"
"congratulations too" she said happily.
"we not engaged"
She giggled. "you're still the same. I am congratulating you on your relationship"
She is what I call a hood bougie chick. She grew up in the hood but she has always fitted perfectly with rich people. She attended a private schools she had white friends from school and was always the chick who was indoors and sweet. "so who is he?" I asked.
"his name is Jack I met him through a colleague" she smiled so brightly just thinking about him. I knew he was treating her right.
"I'm happy for you too but not that another guy put a ring on it" I said jokingly.
She laughed. "You will never change."
I nodded. "can I get you something to drink?"
"Thank you but I think I am good for the night." She said looking towards the male restroom side. Her guy made his way to us. He looked at her. "are you ready to go, love?"
He nodded. Then he nodded towards me. "This is an old friend of mine from high school, Zion. He owns this place." She introduced us.
"Really? Nice to meet you man." He was white. He took her jacket and helped her put to on. Then she took her bag
"it was nice seeing you again Zion." She smiled.
I nodded. "as always"
She turned to him. "Honey, let's go" She held his other hand that was free and they made their way out..
