I was appalled at what came out of my husband's mouth, like that he used foul language. By the way, whoever uses foul language has no class. They are called bad words for a reason. Anyway, I thought that I was in a bad dream. Or I misheard him. I asked to repeat himself, and he said the exact words in the same order. I was in utter shock that he would suggest something so ridiculous. He was out of his freakin' mind if he figured that I was onboard with Destiny carrying our child.

The next thing that I knew, Destiny was in our home and touching everything that was not hers. The couch. The television. Caleb's laptop. The leftovers in the fridge. I got ahold of her and practically dragged her out of the kitchen and into the living room. I shoved her onto the couch and shook my finger at her, threatening her to glue her bottom on the couch or else.

"Or else what?" Destiny challenged. She was smiling, however, it was not the smile that makes you feel good and safe. She clearly has not changed. "Are you planning on treating me like an animal and putting on...what are those things called? Oh, yeah. Shock collars."

It was my turn to grin. "I am glad that you brought that up because..." I headed to the closet that was next to the television and opened the door. "...besides my gun, I own a couple shock collars."

My cousin's face was now as white as toothpaste. She did not expect that I have two shock collars, let alone one. Shock collars are illegal in Forlot and can only be used by good people who wish to punish the villains. Because Caleb and I have villains who could harm us at any minute, the Forlot leaders gave me permission to own shock collars. I would use one on Destiny if it came to that point.

"Do you have a pet, Cindy?"

"Yes. A kitten that belongs to Tamara and now Alex." I motioned to the adorable scene unfolding behind the couch. "The kids and their dad are playing with the kitten as we speak."

She looked over her shoulder and witnessed my family having fun. The kitten was rubbing itself against Alex and purring. Alex laughed and pet the animal. Meanwhile, Caleb was on his hands and knees and pretending to be a monster who eats children. Cal and Destiny's son were riding on top of him and directing him which way to go. Caleb was following Tamara and trying to capture her. Tamara laughed and laughed.

"No, Daddy!"

"Who says that I am your daddy? I ate Daddy!"

"Nooooooooo!"

He grabbed ahold of her ankle and pulled her to him. She smiled and covered her eyes.

"No eat me!"

He chuckled. "Why should I not eat you? Why should I spare you?"

"Me cute!" The baby held up her little feet.

"Hmm. You make an excellent point. You are too cute and precious to be eaten. So what should I do with you instead?"

She uncovered her eyes. "Love me?"

"I will shower you with love if you will love a hideous monster like me."

"You no hideous! Me love you!"

"Awe."

Destiny rolled her eyes and shook her head in shame. "I feel sorry for your children. They will be confused and bullied for sure."

I scooped up a shock collar and dangled it in front of her face. "I did not hear you the first time. Care to clarify what you mean?"

What she stated next was sarcastic. "Oh, I am sorry. I did not know that it is forbidden to share opinions that are different from yours and your poor excuse for a husband's."

I grasped the fabric of her shirt. "If you insult Caleb, I will not hesitate to throw you out of this house."

"But if you do that, I will not carry your baby for you. Remember the deal that we made? I will have your child if you let me live with you and your family. You need to take good care of me if you ever want to hold your new son or daughter."

I brought her face close to my ear. "And you need to be on your best behavior. Or I will give you the shock of a lifetime," I hissed.

"You would do that to the mother of Caleb's son?"

"You are not a mother. I am more motherly than you will ever be."

"You are just saying that because I got Caleb before you."

Two months had passed, and Destiny's belly was growing bigger and bigger. These two months could now be added to the worst parts of my life. Continuous arguing and invasion of privacy. Destiny was doing whatever she could to tick us off. It was as plain as day that she hated my relationship with Caleb. She also picked on Cal and Tamara whenever they were alone. Tamara and Cal would come running to me or their father and hug us while sobbing. I could hardly wait until I kicked my rotten cousin to the curb.

One day, I was in the office and doing searches on the computer and writing information down on a blank piece of paper. There was a knock on the office door. It was Caleb.

"Hey, Cindy. Whatcha doin'?

I sat up straight and looked at him. "You sure that you want to know?"

"Is it something that I am not going to like?"

"I hope that you will."

He strolled up to me and rested his hands on my shoulders. He must have taken a glance at the screen because he said, "Why are you looking up divorce lawsuits?" He uttered a horrified gasp. "You want to...divorce me?"

"We are not getting divorced. Not now. Not ever."

"Then what are you up to?"

"I am helping you get full custody of Destiny's son."
