{Third Person POV}
"Kacchan!" The brunette giggles, shielding her face from the water. "Stooop!"
"Not until I make you surrender, Fat face!" The ten-year-old boy points his water gun at the girl, water droplets lingering on her cream skin, the sunlight hitting it perfectly.
He squirts, sending a jet of water blasting from the tip and soaking her oversized t-shirt and jean shorts. She lets out a shriek as she bolts from their backyard to the nearest park, where the forest is.
"Don't go to far, Chako!" The doe-eyed girl's mother calls after her, crossing her arms and smiling alongside a spiked haired woman.
"I hope they never part ways," Mitsuki says, one hand on her hip, smiling softly, something Katsuki has barely seen her do.
"I hope they stay together. No matter what their relationship is, I just want them to be together....your daughter taught Katsuki how to be a child again. How to love," Mitsuki says, quickly wiping a tear from her eyes.
"And your son taught her what it feels like to be respected, to be treated on the same level as everyone else," Ochako's mother says, pulling the other mother in for an embrace."...But I don't wanna fall," Ochako says, looking down at the deep river and the log that was once a bridge broken and tossed to the side.
"You'll be fine, Chako!" Katsuki says, giving the girl his usual prideful smirk. "And if you fall, I'll be here to save you! Damn, I'll catch you and carry you! You don't have to worry about dying on my hands," he says, sticking out his chest.
"D-dying?! I won't die," she says, lightly punching his shoulder. "I'm strong!"
"I...I know," he says bashfully, knitting his always angry eyebrows together. "But I won't ever let you get hurt, got it?! Not now, not ever! Physically, emotionally, mentally, you're never getting hurt as long as I'm here!" He says with such boldness, such certainty it shakes the small girl to the core.
She throws her arms around his neck, embracing him. Katsuki could feel a blush creep onto his cheeks, engulfing his whole face along with his ears.
"Just now you sounded so smart," She giggles, nuzzling her cheek close to his. "You're the best friend ever!"
"Yeah, whatever," he says, pushing the clingy girl away from him.
He picks up the thick rope he found in their tree house from the ground, climbing the tree and tying it to its sturdy branch.
"Now, swing and let go when you're close," he grunts. Ochako looks at him with fearful eyes, her chubby cheeks puffed out in frustration.
Katsuki rolls his eyes. "Fine, we'll go together," he says, climbing down from the tree.
The girl jumps up and down excitedly. He looks down to her feet, where he now notices how quiet her footsteps have always been, as if she's weightless. And her hair, how it seemingly floats when she grins, like gravity doesn't affect her at all.
Katsuki lets out a small smile. We're such opposites, the small boy thinks. Yet...yet we seem to make it work. To get along so well. It's like she keeps me relaxed and easy, light on my feet. While I keep her grounded, grabbing into her so she doesn't float too far. Uraraka Ochako is amazing...
"You done your damn fit?!" He grumbles, despite the fluffy feelings he's experiencing, at the happy girl. She nods. He spreads his legs and sits down on the knot at the bottom of the rope, extending his arm to Ochako, his face red.
"G-grab onto me," he says, turning his crimson red face away. "Kay!" She smiles, slinging his arms around his neck as if she were hugging him and wrapping her legs around his waist.
Katsuki jolts up, surprised by his best friend's actions, then clears his throat bashfully.
"This is fun," she giggles. "We should cuddle more often!"
Katsuki scoffs, his ears burning a bright shade of red. "You're outta your damn mind, Fat face! Shush before I push you into the river!"
"Hehe, I know you wouldn't do that, Kacchan," she smiles to herself, wrapping her arms tighter around the boy, not in spite of fear but solely because she enjoys the warmth of the young boy's presence. She enjoys his warmth very much, even though it's summer.
"Whatever," he grumbles to himself, kicking off the ground and swinging from the platform they were on. The brunette clutches him tight, wrapping her legs around his waist with force. She shrieks, laughing her melodic, light-hearted laugh.
"Jump!" He says, letting go of the rope and taking the girl with him. They kind with a thud, their heavy laughter vibrating their small bodies.
Katsuki moves from atop of the girl, lying down beside her as they catch their breathes.
"We'll always be together, right Kacchan?" She asks hopefully, tugging at his arm. And this time, the boy doesn't move away from her clinginess.
"Duh. That's a stupid question, fat face," he smiles back, flicking her forehead. She grunts.
"Well, you're a stupid boy!" She says, letting go of his arm.
"You're a stupid girl!" He shoots back.
"But I think it's alright," she says calmly, her hands resting on her stomach. "We can just be stupid together."
Katsuki sucks in a breath. Never in his life has we felt so accepted, so cared for, so loved while the person didn't want anything in return. He blushes.
The girl flicks his forehead and he glares at her.
"I'll race you to the treehouse! Too bad we left our guns," she giggles, getting up and bolting.
"I'll still beat you, Chako!" He yells in his raspy voice, bolting after her. He tackles her, landing on top of her. The two of them laugh like crazy.
"We'll always be friends, right?" She asks, looking up at boy atop her. He nods. "And we'll always be with one another? No matter how far? No matter if one of us does something stupid or makes a bad choice? We'll be with each other?" She asks again.
"I guess," he mumbles, still catching his breath. Ochako smiles, satisfied with his answer. "I know we'll always be together. In this world, and in the next."
