"What the hell do you mean you were going to send her away?" Daniella butted in, stepping in front of him.

"It's complicated, alright." Lukas said, running a hand through his hair.

"Complicated? Complicated? How fucking complicated could it be when you plan on sending your fucking mate away to who-knows-where! She trusted us, Lukas and you fucking broke that trust!" Dani yelled, jabbing her finger at his chest.

"It's not like that! Obviously I want her to trust me and she still can!"

"How is she supposed to trust you now when you're planning to get rid of her stupid ass? You're a coward," Dani spat.

"I am not a coward. You don't understand so I am not about to sit here and explain shit to you."

"What is there to not understand? You don't want her here so just say it. You want her gone then fucking say it," Daniella said in a hushed tone while walking up to him.

"Enough!" I yelled, still feeling tears spill down my cheeks. "I-If Lukas wants me gone I want him to say it to my face, right now. Just save me the heartache."

I'm pretty sure my eyes couldn't even stick to one color thanks to my change of my emotions. My breathing came out shaky and my hands wouldn't stop twitching so much.

The whole month and a half I've been here, I've been trying to figure out if I did love Lukas. Judging by the fact that my heart felt like it exploded when I heard he wanted to get rid of me... gave me my answer.

I love Lukas.

At least I think I do which is why hearing this news hurt me more than I thought it would. Lukas strolled over to me and it caused the pounding in my heart to get even louder. What caught me off guard was when he connected our lips with a low hum. I didn't want to but my wolf was getting pissed when I didn't kiss back — so I did.

Lukas allowed his hand to get tangled into my hair, pulling me closer to him before I pulled back, breathing heavily.

"Y-you can't just kiss me and think I'll forgive you," I told him, looking up at him.

"I wasn't trying to get rid of you, Skylar," he started, running a hand through his hair. "A few years back Daniella and I agreed on getting an extra house for times like this. I was going to send you there... but not alone."

Now I'm fucking confused. My wolf spoke up.

Me and you both.

"B-but why did James make it seem like you didn't want me here?" I asked.

"Because he doesn't want you here," Dani said, walking up to me. "He doesn't trust you so he's trying to break you two up, it's obvious."

We're gonna kill him!

"S-so you don't want to get rid of me?" I asked, looking up at him.

"No, Skylar... I would never just throw you away like that. You're too special to me."

"We need to talk.. asap!" I mind linked Dani, glancing her way.

You got it. Girl talk? She replied

"Yep."

"I-I feel like a dumbass... I'm sorry," I told him, running a hand down my face.

"Hey, don't apologize. It's okay, go get some rest and I'll meet you in there, okay?"

I nodded as he kissed my forehead before letting me walk off to the room. Climbing in bed, I got comfy then shut my eyes, sighing and letting the thought float around my mind.
